Lemme guess,you're angry because you have to pay for DLC on games like TF2 and L4D on the x-box, because Microsoft demands it. That's ok but you're angry at Valve?You know dam well that Microsoft wouldn't allow the DLC if they didn't get any money from it. That's like being mad at someone who missed work,because he got stabbed by a thug and had to spend the day at hospital. You're anger is fine,just direct your rage to those who are truly at fault.

Though you gotta admit the way publishers use their tactics are evil. I'm pretty dam sure if MW2 sold shit on the PC,the first thing Activision would do is go on about how PC gaming is dieing and its a web of piracy,but that's my own hatred of Activision. Also if MW2 sold shit on all consoles Activison would just lay off IW, you know, instead of admit no-one bought it because of Activisions meddling.

There's a reason people hate and argue about certain developers whether or not they buy the games they publish, because if you don't buy their games, THEY AREN'T THE ONES WHO ARE GONNA GOD DAMN SUFFER YOU MORONS.

My point is simply that the word could have two meanings. It could mean that Newell is being a jerk towards MS, or it could mean that he is pandering to them. I agree with your interpretation of the problem (MS says no free DLC, it's their fault), but I felt the need to point out you may be misinterpreting the intended meaning of the word... which was vague in the given context.

Please, if your going to jump to conclusion atleast get it right. I dont even own an Xbox. I'm pissed because he said the Ps3 is "a waste of time" and his excuse for not making L4D on the Ps3 was because "We have a certian friendship with Microsoft"

Also Blizzard, they make one of the best RTS games of all time...then they make a shitty MMO full of grindy grindy gameplay.

The biggest reason for this would have to be that they are believe it or not, a relatively small company. Since they are mainly a PC game developer and seeing how xbox 360 games are pretty easy to port from the PC (Compared to PC -> PS3) they choose to not spend their time developing games for t he PS3.

Who said they would stop making Warcraft RTS games? No one. You know Blizzard, they just take a long long long time to make games.

As for the anti-PS3 comments, I would have to say that particular line "PS3 is a waste of time" is hardly him bashing the PS3. It's been a long time since I've actually read that story so I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

The have ditched Warcraft RTS games, we both know they will always focus on WoW now.

They have never said they are ditching the Warcraft RTS games, stop jumping to conclusions... Is there some law prohibiting further RTS games being released once the MMO comes out? They could easily continue to develop / expand WoW while releasing a Warcraft RTS game.

Why would they bother? They are getting rich off of WoW, there has been no news in years regarding an RTS sequel, they have all the money they need from WoW. Why would they spend all that time and money making an Warcraft 4 when they dont need to?

Why would they bother? Why wouldn't they? Its a popular franchise thats bound to sell.... Do you know how long Starcraft fans had to wait for Starcraft 2? I never said it would be coming soon, but I bet one day it will arrive. You may think they all swim in pools full of money from WoW but that couldn't be further from the truth, sure it has made them a lot of money but its hardly "all the money they could ever need".

I would think EA, releasing around 5 new sports games per yeare with only minute changes, pretty money hungry there.

I think Valve is catching on to this considering they cranked out a new Left 4 Dead in a year. Then again, their Half life series is taking forever.

Starcraft + Diablo fans had to wait longer then 5 years for their next title. It's just the way Blizzard works. I would hardly call "taking a long time to make games" "shameless".

You have a valid point, but you completely missed mine. What you talked about is not the issue. The issue is that MMOs, while they can be fun, are for many people a huge time sink which people play obsessively, to the detriment of their real lives and real human interaction, and the developers charge them to continue this behavior.

I'm not blaming the developers for these people, I'm blaming the developers for callously profiting off of them. Sure, it's just a way for them to make money, but so is selling heroin. MMO's are designed to encourage this sort of behavior, or else they'd run out of money.

Most Devs. have a favourite, though im a PS3 lover and a Valve fan i don't think Valve any less for basing there games on PC or 360.

(Could be that I have a pretty damn good computer that can run all the latest stuff, maybe because of that im not so bothered about Microsoft getting all of Valves workings)
