Aragoof, Classic.

I'm really enjoying this, roughly how many more entries are we to be expecting?

A chipped skull? Did I fire up Diablo II by mistake?
Heheh

The Fed-Ex quests in LotRo are awful though. I've just got into Rivendell (early - *whistles innocently about being a sneaky spa...-hunter*) and I talked to Aragorn, who tells me to talk to Elrond (at the other side of the map), who tells me to talk to Aragorn....who tells me to talk to Elrond...who tells me to talk to a guy sitting on an Island in the middle of nowhere and tell him that they won't be back for a bit as they're going to drop a ring into a volcano.

At least in EQ I didn't have to travel far to get 5 rat tails...

Classic. I've been looking forward to Lulzy getting into the main story. I wonder what she makes of Aragoof.

So, you mentioned escorts and speeds, which makes the question inevitable--have you met Sara Oakheart? Do you hate Sara Oakheart? The hatred of Sara Oakheart (besides being a good name for an alt-rock album) is a good trait to develop early...

No song, limerick or a simple short verse? I'd settle even for a Haiku.

I have lolz. Keep it up, good sir.

Have you really seen no one else in the game for days? That doesn't seem healthy for an MMO at all. Is LotRO doing alright?

While that corner of the Shire is somewhat low in population (due to there being little to do out there outside of a handful of lower level quests), The Shire as a whole is generally quite populated.. most people just spend their time in the Michel Delving area as it has crafting stations, an Auction House, a Vault Keeper, etc. LOTRO certainly isn't WoW in terms of population but it's definitely not empty or dying.

I downloaded the game and I am playing the 10 day trial. I made a human hunter named Roenath, just because it was the closest thing to a ranger. I figure if i'm going to be new at it I might as well play something people already expect to be retarded. I just made it to the lumber camp you spoke of. After playing WoW for 5 years this does seem a bit easier than I am used to with a new game. I think alot of it has to do with almost every control being exactly the same as WoW. Over all I am enjoying it thus far and much enjoying your stories. I found myself laughing as I was throwing dirt over Dirk Mudbrick and even laughing a bit because I bet I have already killed 100 spiders.

Oh, also forgot to mention I laughed when I went to log in and noticed it says "Level 10 man hunter" on the charcter selection screen. It wouldn't have been nearly as funny if they did call it a ranger or called them humans.

Really enjoying Lulzy and her adventures, especially since I just created a raft of alts on a different server and am currently re-playing a lot of the low level area quests for the nth time (Joy!). Whenever things start to feel especially dire in terms of boredom (whendoIgettothenextFUNquestdammit!!!!) I just ask myself "What would Lulzy do" and all is rainbows in the Shire again. Well, some of the time, anyway.

Again I have to wonder if the Fool Took threw himself in and ridded us of his stupidity.

But also, WHO NAMES A TOWN "SCARY"? I can't imagine they have much of a tourist trade...

Mocking the rangers is absolutely my favorite recurring theme.
Rangers have always had Classist Jokes made about them though;

How do you know when a ranger has been tanking?
They're standing naked at their bind spot.

How many rangers does it take to change a lightbulb.
None, the bulb was still cooling and the damage they took from touching the barely warmed glass killed them instantly.

Why is ranger armor green and brown?
Green so they can find their corpse in the dirt & brown so they can find it on the grass.

What's the difference between a ranger and a corpse?
About 10 seconds of agro.

How can you tell a ranger tried to break into your house??
Your cat is camping his corpse.

/shout TRAIN TO ZONE!!! RANGERS AND CHILDREN FIRST!!

Is that map at the end from the game? They misplaced Forochel... the little bay it is placed against is not that. Forochel is the absolutely huge bay (almost inland sea) to the north of the map.
I think later versions of the LOTR map (in editions that *have* the full map... some leave out the far north and south [Umbar]) had an arrow pointing to the north-east next to the name to make this more clear.
