This is the funniest series on the Escapist right now -- hands down my favorite.

...but the Blackwolds are actually somehow poorer that the people they just robbed.
Brilliant.

I love this series, and the adventures of lulzy. Reading this even made me want to play the game lol.

I love reading about Lulzy, you have me this close | | to starting playing lord of the rings online again. Was a fun game, but I didn't know many people and got bored.

Been playing LotRO mostly on my own from 1 to 60 the last month or so. Despite the lower population, fairly entertaining.

I don't know how many garments share that pattern, but Scout Armor, tailor-crafted medium armor, is one of the types of clothing that looks like what that human woman's wearing. My burglar has several pieces of it. Unfortunately Lulzy wouldn't be able to get her hands on that for quite some time as it's level 50+ gear. :|

Actually, it's quite easy to get stuff that looks fairly well together. All you have to do is stop by an Auction House in any of the major cities, and purchase enough dye pots to cover your whole outfit (one pot per article of clothing).

It's a bit expensive, as dyes are only available as player crafted items, but usually you end up looking pretty good no matter what you're wearing.

Another issue is that if you get some new piece of clothing, you will have to dye it again to match.

Its a trap Lulzy! Don't take that satchel!

Yeah, that mail delivering quest was the bane of my existence. I can't stress how much I loathed it. Needless to say, I avoided the pie deliveries like the plague.

Technically, that's a female elf. Despite that, the humour is spot on as always :) Don't think you're getting out of anything by running errands in the Shire as opposed to Breeland ;)

Two issues with the dye system: it only dyes one part of any given garment (if a cloak is four different colors, only one of them is going to be changed by dye; the other three are always their defaults) - which sucks - and not all garments dye the same shade. My "violet" outfit is only violet in most places; the legs had to be dyed indigo to get dark enough to match everything else's violet. Fortunately the dressing room lets you test these things out in advance, but it makes it difficult to get an ensemble to match if "gold" isn't the same gold on all the pieces you want to wear.

The second bit is particularly nitpicky, though. It's the only-dyes-one-part detail that really irks me about the system.

Yep, at level 20 you get access to 2 cosmetic outfit sets. This means you have your normal MMO mishmash of gear on your active gear page but then have 2 different selectable outfits to choose from that are what are actually what everyone sees. It's pretty easy to cobble together a good looking outfit from any level of gear and then tweak it using the dye system.

Of note is that once you reach level 20 on one character, every other character afterwords has access to their 2 cosmetic outfits right from level 1.

That human chick is good looking, what's her phone number name?
She's actually an elf, not a human. :)

On my way out of town, I encounter a human
That part confused me, on closer inspection her name is elven indeed. And the pointy ears are not visible *grumble*.

i have to admit tho my favorite n00b missions have always been the hobbit ones. However the most efficient ones are definitely the human ones. Generally just stay away from the Dwarf/Elf ones <.<

the way the post office works in the shire you would think they have to charge you a gold piece for mail since they would have to hire all the day laborers (Bounders) to do the job for them.

In communist Shire, the mail owns you.

This is one of my favorite series on here. That postmaster bit was hilarious...

And yes, shamus on YOU for making me want to play LOTRO again... Dang!

Loving the series, thanks Shamus. LotRO is a great game, but has plenty to scratch your head at.

BTW, you keep saying Archet, but the Blackwold quests come out of Combe. Close to Archet, but the next town south. Nits shall be picked!

Wonderful as always! I can't wait for the next one. Will she deliver the mail? Will she stab the postmaster in the junk? Tune in next week to find out!

I hope you misspelled Michel Delving as "Michael" on purpose to illustrate one of the funniest mispronunciations in the game LOL! Although Tolkien doesn't elaborate on this name specifically, he does mention that many old words the hobbits use, like "mathom" are hold-overs from an ancient hobbit language closely related to the Rohirrim (which itself is loosely based on Old English). "Micel" in Old English means "great, intense, much, or many" and a "delving" is a hole. Thus "Michel Delving" means "Great Hole" and makes sense when contrasted with the nearby "Little Delving". As to how to pronounce it, my understanding is that it should sound like "MICK-el", one could also make an argument for "MITCH-el", but never "MIKE-el" LOL =)

I have laughed so much reading these adventures! Wonderful take on silly quests ;)
