Mt Everest is the highest point on earth but not the highest mountain. That honor goes to Mauna Kea. Which is not the highest mountain on earth because some 8000 meters of it is underwater.

I get what you were trying to say, but it made little sense.. the meaning of mountain changed.

The AK-47 was designed during World War 2 as a solution to the fact that the Germans had automatic weapons and the Russians didn't. However, it was not finished and produced for the first time until 1947, hence the name.

Episode 27 of Freeman's Mind was released on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Consequently, the entire episode's monologuing (supposedly by Gordon Freeman) was done using pirate-like terms and slang. Freeman makes a joke about this at the start of episode 28.

The most common way of entering the Chris Houlihan Room in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past involves using the Pegasus Boots to dash all the way from the Sanctuary to Hyrule Castle's sewer. In total, there are five ways to enter the Room.

The day Burce Wayne's parents were murdered, they went to see a Zorro movie. Batman's costume design was influenced heavily by characters like Zorro and Zorro himself.

In the DCAU, Terry Mcginnis's parents were almost murdered after he and his parents went to see a movie. The Movie was about "The Grey Ghost" a fictional hero that was Batman's Batman and who's fictional actor was voiced by Adam West. (Yes, the actor who played batman's batman was voiced by Adam West. Your mind has now officially exploded.)

If someone with 20/20 vision tilts there head when they strain to se something, its because there eyes are not quite level (IE one eye is set *slightly* further into the skull than the other), this tilt is them subconsciously correcting the draw distance to their eyes, effectively levelling them out.

Glasses weares often do it if their prescription is out in one eye, or it can be a relit habit from past eye problems such as a lazy eye.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I heard something similar to this before. I don't remember the fine details, but it was something like this guy was talking about.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word in the English dictionary, it's a lung disease caused by the inhalation of fine silica dust (like from volcanoes, makes sense as 'volcano' is part of the condition).
I mentioned the same word in another thread also. But let me make a small correction/addition.

floccinaucinihilipilification [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Floccinaucinihilipilification] is the longest non-technical English word in the dictionary
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis] is the longest technical word

Taking the entire X-Men Franchise in consideration, Jean Grey died 20 times since 1976

Nick Frost (Attack the Block, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) wasn't really an actor before his friend Simon Pegg brought him onto "Spaced". Before that however he did appear in a sales training video.

Excluding made-up stories by the characters as well as an episode about alternate universes, everything that happens in "Community" is canon (wich doesn't sound spectacular unless you consider that this includes a Halloween Episode with Zombies as well as a Claymation Christmas Special)

South Africa has three capital cities;
Pretoria (executive)
Bloemfontein (judicial)
Cape Town (legislative)
Pretoria is where the president and cabinet reside, though the parliament is located in Cape Town. Bloemfontein is the location of the supreme court

Actually, you are both wrong.

Mount Everest is considered to be the highest mountain above sea level. But it is NOT the highest point on earth. That honor goes to Mount Kilimanjaro. The reason for this is its location. Kilimanjaro is closer to the equator. At this point the landmasses are higher. Making Kilimanjaro the winner.* As for the highest mountain with its base below sea level, that is indeed Mauna Kea.

*This is still disputed. Mount McKinley and Nanga Parbat are also contenders, but Kilimanjaro is considering to be the most probable.

The "upside down cross" is not satanic.

It is the symbol (among others) of Saint Peter, the first pope. The story goes that Peter was to be crucified and, because he didn't feel equal to Jesus, he asked to be crucified upside down. The symbol is displayed on the papal chair.

Mention this to any "satanist" at your own risk.
