1 - There is NOT more caffeine in tea than coffee, this is one of those ridiculous lies that will not go away. Certain teas such as "pinhead gunpowder"(also the name of a great pop-punk band) contain unhealthy amounts of caffeine however the average cup of coffee contains far more caffeine than a cup of tea.
Both statements are true. Tea leaves contain more caffine than coffee beans once both are processed. A cup of coffee has more caffine than a cup of tea but a pound of tea leaves has more caffine than pound of coffee beans.

Edit: Sorry to double post. I tried to delete this one but i cant find the function to do so. If an editor comes along and does so, please move the content of it to the post above.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word in the English dictionary, it's a lung disease caused by the inhalation of fine silica dust (like from volcanoes, makes sense as 'volcano' is part of the condition).
Not true actually. The longest word in the english language is the chemical name for the protien titin. the name is 189819 letters long and can take up to ten munutes to say fully.

here is it read aloud:

Nero did not "fiddle" during the Great Fire of Rome (violins had not yet been invented, nor was he playing the lyre). In fact, upon hearing news of the fire, Nero rushed back to Rome to organize a relief effort, which he paid for from his own funds. He also opened his palaces to provide shelter for the homeless, and arranged for food supplies to be delivered in order to prevent starvation among the survivors. Finally, he made a new urban development plan that attempted to make it more difficult for fires to spread. However, it is true that he blamed the fire on Christians.

Edit: Here's another good one, humans have more than five senses. The truth is we're not entirely sure what is defined as a "sense" so the list ranges from 9 to 20 senses. Besides the well known 5 we have sense of balance, sense of heat, and proprioception (where a part of your body is in relation to the rest in space).

Floccinaucinihilipilification [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Floccinaucinihilipilification] is the longest non technical English word.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis] is the longest recognized technical word in the English dictionary.

As far as I know (I might be wrong) the full name of Titin is not officially recognized yet in the dictionary. Also, even though the original length is quite amusing, not a soul on this planet is going to say it out loud. Everybody is just going to call it 'Titin', whereas pneumo...etcetera and flocci...etcetera do not have shorter names. Even though I just butchered both words.

A bush cricket's ears are on it's knees.

A chicken survived decapitation for several months.

Koalas are extremely prone to sexual harassment.

You are more likely to be killed by a coconut than a shark.

Whilst I'm on the subject, in Australia, combined deaths from shark, crocodile and snake attacks only amount to about 5 a year.

Some species of Cicada's (sp) can survive after having their heart, brains and other organs damages or even destroyed.
Also the sound it makes is the loudest, or highest of any living thing, if I remembered correctly.
