As of 3/14/2025, I am finally done with all my courses for my Master's Program in Information Management.

It has been a long 1.5 years. While that might sound fast, the trade-off was that each course had more dense materials to go over. There were times I felt like my brain was melting away, times I wanted to punch something near me, and dropping to my bed and passing out.

But I somehow made it!

TBH, the fact that this was an online program probably helped. I also have a career job that I started like a year before this, and residential program wasn't going to be an option for me. It still was a lot of work, especially when group project, biggest one being the capstone, that required everyone working at the same pace and actively communicating.

Now I'm going on a 4 week vacation! After that it's gonna be active job searching, as my Master's Degree should allow for higher positions

I had the best customer service interaction I've ever had this week.

I bought a jacket from a company called Bronson MFG. They sell apparel that's based on classic American military and work work wear styles. So things like reproductions of Type 2 denim jackets from the 1940s, or jackets based on the US army field jacks from the 1950s, or deck jackets from world war 2, of flight jackets from the Vietnam war, or loop-wheel tee-shirts that are made the way they were in the 1950s, things like that. A lot of casual fashion in the US is based on military or work wear clothing.

When I put in my order their customer service department reached out to me and let me know that the sizing for the jacket I bought is a little different than modern sizing, so they asked me for my height, weight, and a couple of other measurements to make sure that the size I ordered would actually fit me. I have a difficult body type to get a perfect fit for. Most clothing is made for people with a rectangular upper body, and I have a triangular one (my shoulders are much wider than my waist), so for a lot of clothing it ends up either too tight in the shoulders, or too loose in the midsection. They made me some recommendations and I ended up confirming my order for the jacket in a size 40. They told me my order would have free exchanges on it if it didn't fit perfectly.

It arrived and was a little too big. The proportions were good, but it was a little looser than I would have liked. It looked great if I layered a thick sweater under it, but I had bought it as a light spring jacket with the intention to wear it over just a tee-shirt, and it just felt a bit too loose. I decided to size it down and checked the website, but the size 38 (the next size down) was sold out.

The thing about Bronson MFG is that their clothing is made and sold in small batches, and there's no guarantee of a restock unless the item is really popular. I contacted their customer service and they didn't know when or even if this jacket would be offered again, and they didn't have any more size 38s. They told me to sit tight and that they would figure something out, or at least give me store credit to pick out something else.

The next day they got back to me and let me know that they had contacted the factory and had special ordered one additional size 38 jacket to be made specifically for me. Absolutely ridiculous. I sent back the size 40 jacket and am currently waiting on the size 38 to be completed and shipped to me, which will take a couple of weeks.

The fact that they went out of their way to make sure I was entirely satisfied with the order is great, but actually getting the factory to custom make a new jacket just for me is insane. I 100% recommend this company (the clothing is pretty high quality, I especially like their Henleys).

This is worth a great watch. Goombah talks about how much a positive influence Japan has had over United States and the West for the past twenty years with its culture, anime, and manga industry.
