No this is not a review, I just have an interest in old/rare/underrated games and I found Shellshock.
I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of it that's all and for those who haven't:
(ShellShock: Nam '67) Let me give you a run down of what it is if you haven't heard of it. The Shellshock series currently has one game and a second one coming out for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in February... we hope (Europe: Feb. 6, America: Feb 2). The first game is classified as a TPS (do understand I'm getting all my info from wiki) and takes place in Vietnam. Personally I take that as a breath of fresh air. From what I gather, the idea is to battle your way through Vietnam while encountering horrible images of fellow soldiers. That's really all I know. It's violent and tries to depict what the Vietnam war was like.
(ShellShock 2: Blood Trails) Now it's sequel comes out and it looks a bit different. In fact everything has changed except for the title and the name. Basically the game looks like Gears of War combined with First person Vietnam action. The biggest problem I have with this is that there's a...virus...thing... called WhiteKnight, and it makes you go insane. I don't see why you need a reason for some one to experience insanity. Isn't being surrounded by the enemy at all time enough to make anyone go insane. The wiki story is, is that you are part of a task force and you were told to transport "WhiteKnight" to some where. Who would've guessed though that something would go wrong. You are now going insane and that's all I can gather. However I do like violence, and lots of it, so this game might not be horrible after all. Also the sound track is being done by MCR, so there's a personally downside (I don't like MCR personally).
So who's heard of these games and what do you think?
