I cut almost all soda (minus beer, which is barley soda!) out of my diet. I figure it saved me 1500 calories per week, and im not even a heavy soda drinker.

Theres nothing wrong with soda, but people drink TOO MUCH.

What do you mean by "having another crash"?
Drink a lot of pop. Have energy for half an hour and then the next two hours I feel exhausted.
...You know there is such a thing as diet coke / diet lemonade / diet whatever fizzy drink, right?

Not that that should dissuade you from sticking to water. It's healthy for you, flushes out your system, and as you say - cheaper. Coke's £2 for a big bottle, so you get several of times at a time and it really starts to rack up... £10 on fizzy drinks a week is a bit overkill especially if you don't have a job or are a student

I've found diet anything tastes like ass something terrible. At least all of the ones I've tried.

I'll stick to water.

I mostly drink water because I'm a bit of a fitness freak. I love staying in shape and after a whole bunch of videos and articles of how bad pop/soda is for you, I seldom drink it (but when I do, I prefer Dr. Pepper XD). Besides, milk is also amazing when you add a bit of that flavoured syrup stuff to it to make it chocolate or strawberry flavoured. =)

However, I almost never use water bottles because:
a) I have a reusable bottle
b) I have a Brita filter in the reusable bottle
c) Plastic is bad for the environment etc etc.

Most juices are great too. I'm not picky when it comes to drinks. =)

P.S. I actually really like this thread as a whole. Very neat topic OP. ^^

It does at first, but you get used to it. Also, there's a few drinks that were designed to be diet from the beginning, and those usually taste better than their sugared alternatives. The big two are Diet Rite and Diet Sierra Mist. Sugared Sierra Mist is /way/ too sweet for my tastes, and I have a sweet tooth that would fit in the mouth of a tyrannosaur.
