That pisses me off. With some of the shiny forms, the colors are slightly washed out or darker so it is difficult to tell if it is shiny based on the color scheme(at least they added the sparkles at beginnings of battles).ninjastovall0 said:
Edit: I happen to think the blue-fire ponyta looks okay. Plus with fire that is blue it can technically be because it looks literally hotter.
Ya know what? I've played each pokemon game at least three times and I have never seen ONE. I thought I saw one once but it turned out that was the gen they introduced male/female sprites. I was so pissed after I used my Master Ball on a Gastrodon.
I've caught both of the shiny Pokémon that I've ever encountered. They were both in my Diamond game. There was a shiny Starly at the very beginning of the game that I traded to my friend (it's now on his main team), and a shiny Machoke on Victory Road that I named HULK ANGRY and then never touched. I should probably evolve him, since he stays green.
Then, for my birthday last year, the previously mentioned friend gave me a shiny Vulpix that he'd spent 40 hours on two games looking for legitimately, just because my favorite shiny is Ninetails <3

NEVER. In my whole. POKEMON CAREER. Have I ever encounter a shiny. Unless I did and didn't notice because I didn't know they even existed until like a year and a half ago. I KNOW.
Caught a shiny onyx in victory road in soulsilver. Evolved into a shiny steelix. I have a friend why has a shiny Luxray pidgeot and Miloitc, all of which he got legitimately.
when i first played ruby (not saphire ha take that saphire)i found a shiny zigzagoon (i dont remember where) and that made my childhood it made me play everysingle pokemon game making sure that that exact zig zagoon was with me at all times then i trained him to level 100 and kept him as a ziggy and it was great... then my game was "corrupted" *cough cough* and i swear that pearl just tried to systematicly ruin my child hood then i sold it and never looked at pearl or diamond again and now im waiting for black so that i can forget my vendetta against pokemon for releasing pearl which i swear again was out to destroy my last shred of child hood

I once found a shiny Chancey in Diamond, but sadly I didn't catch it. I did manage to catch a shiny Mr. Mime in the same area, though. My sister hatched a shiny Smoochum in Crystal, too, which I thought was really cool.
I caught a shiny Steelix in my Pearl. Also, when SoulSilver came out, I found a shiny Ledyba, caught it right away. Aside from that, I can't think of any others that I've seen, besides the Red Gyrados of course.
In Diamond I have a shiny Golduck and Tentacruel. Not to mention the shiny Raikou, Entei and Suicune I got from the GameStop givaways.

I got myself a Shiny Fearow while I was grinding outside of Safari Zone. I managed to catch it, and it looked pretty cool but I managed to trade it for a shiny Shuppet (now Shiny Banette) which looks infinitely cooler (and also happens to be my favourite pokemon )

Remember encountering a shiny Sandshrew once in Ruby, a Shiny....Poochyena in Sapphire and a Shiny Aipom in Emerald...inside the Safari Zone, unfortunately the Aipom ran off.
Ones i didnt catch but traded for: swapped a Zigzagoon w/pokerus to some guy online for a Shiny Zubat, another time i swapped a Charmander for a shiny Pichu. (doubt theyre legit or what, but still)

Hm... I came across a shiny Noctowl during my first run through one of the G/S/C games (can't remember which one) up by Lake Rage. I killed it accidentally though because I either miscalculated or ran out of balls. Either way, it died and I was mildly upset by that fact.
It would be some time later until I caught a shiny Venomoth in my FireRed/LeafGreen game (again, can't remember which). It is now safely tucked away in my Diamond game. I don't use it because he's kinda useless but he's still cool.
Also got Shiny Entei, Raikou, and Suicune from the recent events for both my Diamond and SoulSilver games. Yay!
