Shirtless men with no chest hair, what's up with that?

This may seem abit hypocritical of me, but I recently came to notice that in numerous videos and photos I see, most men I see shirtless have absolutely no hair on their torso, none.

What's up with that? I'm legally an adult in the US and I got a buttload of hair on my chest, I'm serious.

Well, some hairless-chested people I can understand if they have tattoos or something, but I don't know why I find it so suddenly wierd when I see this on people and another wierd thing, is that everytime I see a hairless shirtless male, I suddenly think Wallabee Beetles from Codename: Kids Next Door, probubly becuase of how in Deviantart how he has probubly enough fanart pics of him shirtless to shame Edward from Twilight (oooh, edgy!), and yet he's 10 years old (though some pics show him being older), makes me worry quite abit.

But anyway, what's up actors have no hair on their chests whenever they appear shirtless?

Umm...I'm 20, and I have zero hair on my chest. This is not due to me shaving, but just because I don't get hair there...I assume it to remain that way for a good portion of my life. The less hairy, the better anyways.

It's just considered more attractive for who they are appealing to, female audiences.
chest hair hit it's highpoint with Burt Reynolds and now hairless is attractive. I'm 19 and have very little hair, but I did cosplay shirtless before and shaved what little hair I had just so people wouldn't have to look at unsightly strands of curly black hair.

its aesthetically pleasing to the eye, most shirtles actors shave or whatever because they want to show muscle, in most cases at least, also its a recent trend in movies,

I think it's because Western culture has painted it as unattractive to have chest hair and thus, people grow up with that misconception. Personally, I don't care either way.

Show me someone who is ripped and with absolutely no chest hair and I'll show you someone who takes pride in their personal appearance.

Show me someone who wears a carpet on their torso and I'll show you someone who doesn't give a shit about what people think.

And this is coming from a guy who started getting chest hair at the tender age of 14. Imagine what that looks like now, now that I'm in my mid-20s.

different people have different amount of hair, but if you're talking about models and such, often they'll wax their chests because hair doesn't photograph well and it obscures the body that they work hard to maintain.

it doesn't even look undead just plain dead. I watched the first 2 movies (Only the rifftrax versions so they were pretty awesome) and both of the the actors who play Bella and Edward are attractive people but onscreen they look diseased. Did the director just tell the makeup department to make them look like the two most undesirable people to ever live? They get more pale and sickly every damn movie!
I really got to have another rifftrax party, if they could make twilight enjoyable anything is possible.
