Short, but awesome anime series

Not to mention, Code Geass was like 50 eps, with 18 Picture Dramas. It was very good, but it was not short...and not for this thread. Even Darker than Black and Black Lagoon are no longer eligible for this thread since they have started new seasons. Most Japanese Anime are 24-26 eps long (2 seasons). That is the norm. I would consider the 13 eps series to be short, and the 50+ eps series to be long.

But if we keep it under 26 eps, Try:

Chrono Crusade (24 eps)

Wanna laugh, light humor?
Chobits (24 eps)
"Chibi Vampire" Karin (24 eps)

Psychological/Drama?

Noein (24 eps)

Onegai Teacher (12 eps + 1 OVA)
Onegai Twins (12 eps)
Read or Die the TV (26 eps)
You should see the 3 part OVA tie-in "Read Or Die" first, so it's iffy to be on this list.

What ever your flavor, there's plenty to see.

Code Geass and Death Note are both, I believe, two seasons long.

Could be wrong - but they're excellent nevertheless.

Everyone seems to like FLCL, as do I...the funny thing is the anime started as just an exercise to test new ways of filming and animating.

Funny how a test piece like FLCL could be so popular all by itself. LOL.

Black Lagoon. It is only two seasons but it one of the best anime's IMHO. Black Lagoon own all.

My personal favourites are Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (27 Episodes), Samurai Champloo (also 27 or so episodes), and Black Lagoon (again, 20-odd episodes).

Code Geass is also pretty awesome, but could hardly be considered "short".

Black Lagoon got the green light for a third season...so eventually I wouldn't call it short. But damn good none-the-less!

Elfin Lied is just wall to wall violence. I even think the first 4 minutes of the first episode is one of the most violent scenes ever. But if your gonna see the story right, read the Manga...makes oh so much more sense.

Awesome series all of them, although I think that Gurren Lagann is the best.
