Short but sweet games

Beyond Good And Evil: I'm playing through the HD remake and just playing it from memory it should only last about 6 hours.

Flower was incredibly short, but incredibly worth it.

Cave Story doesn't take very long either, and that's probably my favorite PC game.

Mirror's Edge. Only 9 chapters, but man, that game was awesome.

The two that immediately spring to my mind are Portal and Braid.

I would say Metro 2033. Looking forward to the sequel, but the railer looked less 'Metro-y' and more 'Call of Duty-y'/

Granted, it is rendered somewhat bitter by the dozens of deaths one incurs in that 90 minute playtime.

yeah it's a pretty good game with an amazing sound track. in fact the sound track is the best part.

Nobody has said Shadow of The Colossus yet...I thought I was on The Escapist, what's going on?!
Seriously, about 8 hours long, and just awesome.

Personally, I think the length of that game is perfect. Not too short, not too long. Just right. Plus there is a bunch of extra stuff to do in that game.

I geniunly liked Kane & Lynch: Dog Days. That's only about 3-5 hours, depending on how easy you are to kill.

I'm likely going to receive some raised eyebrows here, but I enjoyed the storyline of the Modern Warfare games. Unbelievable? Yes, but not many shooters take you around the world twice!

^ they aren't bad games, they just repeat the same formula just different locations. but the story (except for black ops) i do like. Plus who gets tired of shooting someone in the face with a sniper?

Portal, Bastion, Mirror's Edge. I hear VVVVVV's pretty short, but I can't seem to complete it, so I wouldn't know. It's good, though!

Metal Gear Solid. Can be finished in around 3 hours - but it's perfect. And so good that you'll play it again. And again. And again.

I heard those games were good but i was turned off by them because I also heard that they had over complicated stories

The first one had a complicated story, but it was really evenly spread out. You get all of the information at a steady pace, and it never gets confusing. However, the second game, even if you were paying lots of attention, you'll still get confused towards the end. It gets to the point where it's actually funny.

OT: Limbo. I finished it pretty quickly, but I loved every dreadful moment of it.

Infinity Blade on Iphone. It's not exactly the longest game but it leaves you feeling satisfied when you beat the main game portion.

It's so good, all that emotion in a 4 hour game.
