Should Battlefield 1942/2142 be added to Steam?

SO I was gonna buy Battlefield 1942 since my PC's crap and I can't run anything that requires hardware t&l.
Anyway I look on steam and realize they neither have Battlefield 1942 or 2142.
I wonder why? I'm sure many people would buy these if they were available.
The only way I could find 1942 complete was a $40 physical copy. That's more than Bad Company 2.
So why do you think you can't get them digital download?
I certainly would like to.
They're also missing out on a Battlefield Complete Pack and Battlefield Classics Pack that I'm sure many would buy.

I'd love to see more people playing BF 2142 especially on Titan servers. I've seen a BF 1942 complete pack selling for $20 Australian. After the 27th it will all be moot for me anyway.

Was 2142 ever popular? I tried the demo when it first came out and it made my computer cry (got a solid 10-15FPS), so I've never really "played" it. And I never really heard a lot about it.

Do people still play 1942? I'm guessing digital download places don't want to offer multiplayer only (or essentially multiplayer only) games that are old and without much of an online community anymore... but that's just a guess. And it wouldn't surprise me if lots of people do still play 1942... so I guess I don't know.

2142 had an annoying unlock progression
But I still play 1942, and vietnam, there are a lot of old disc copies of the ww2 anthology and the complete collection kicking around the games stores (in australia, for very little money), and there are still quite a few servers up and populated

Not that I know of, sorry. I believe the most primitive version of the Battlefield series your going to find is Battlefield 1918 (which is a patch to make BF1942 appear as WWI instead) but no, I dont think such a game exists, sorry.

you could try that game Oblivion? its a free
roaming medieval sword play game, that might work

Depends, will those games classify Steam as a bad program and get you kicked from every punkbuster-enabled server like Battlefield 2 does?
