Should Boxing Be Banned?

banning boxing is a bad idea. I'm not a fan of the sport but just no. No one is making these fighters step into the ring (that I'm aware of), they all know the risks, but pursued it anyway.

If they ban Boxing then they need to ban ALL full contact sports, NFL, NHL, MLS, and MMA, of course. Hell lets just ban all sports period cause you can get hurt in Baseball, Golf, Bowling, oh defiantly ban the NHRA and NASCAR to /sarcasm

people like these don't under stand that people do know what they're getting them selves into and just don't care because its a thing they want to do because they enjoy doing it.

Yes, I believe wholeheartedly that we should ban boxing. Put an end to this disgusting violent practice...because then we could focus on building robots to box for us and live in the world of Real Steel.

...Oh and yes, that was totally sarcasm. I used to box. I've been meaning to get back into it. It makes me feel good about myself and it's some of the most exercise I get. I'd be sad if it was banned.

I think so long as boxes are made aware of the obvious and real risks of brain damage and choose to continue to box, then let them box.

Hell yeah, it's causing me a lot of stress whenever I have to deal with it cause it just goes on and on and on and first I have to wait for the commentators to finish, then comes the editing and rendering of obnoxiously huge files now that everything's in HD and...

Nah boxing shouldn't be banned. Boxing gloves should be banned. Back in the days before the introduction of the gloves the incidence of brain injury or death was actually way lower. See gloves let you go for the head shots without injuring your hand. The human skull is quite hard and sharply angled so it really hurts to hit it with any fore...now imagine doing this round after round...your hand would fall apart! Body blows where how matches were mostly fought so their was a lot less head trauma involved.

Just remove the Gloves, more stitchs but less brain damage.
