i'll agree to that. shame my wages don't go up in proportion to inflation.

with games though, yes they are expensive but with the amount of entertainment they bring it's worth it. think i saw somewhere that games are the second best thing for price - use time ratio (e.g games may cost twice as much as DVDs but the use time of games is 20 or 30 times more than a DVD, maybe more depending on the game)

Wait around, skip the hype, save some cash.

Only drawback is you still have to beat the deadline of "when are spoilers ok"

I refuse to pay full price for games, but that doesn't mean that games "should be cheaper." They're not worth the price that is charged for them, but people pay it, therefore the price is right.

I remember when if a game was $50, it was like, "Whoa! That's majorly expensive", and now it's common for a game to be around $60, tons of times more, it's... it's ridiculous. When I was younger I was able to go into gamestop with $5, walk out with a good N64 game, and be amused for months. Now all I can get in gamestop for $5 is a screen cleaner or the PS2 reject games that no one buys.. it's depressing. Kinda.

OT: They should be much cheaper in my opinion. I understand it takes a lot of work to make them but seriously... anywhere from $10 - $20 cheaper would be perfect in my opinion.

Honestly, anyone who is complaining about the price of video games in the US should be happy they're paying what they're paying. Now, I don't know how much people in Europe or Asia pay for games, so this isn't directed towards those individuals.

You guys probably pay between 40-60 dollars for a game, excluding bundle packs, used games, games on sale(such as Steam), and collectors editions, right? Just Cause 2 came out in North America on March 23. I bought it in mid-June. I paid 110 dollars cash.

Until the price of games doubles in the US, I think you guys should bring it down a notch. It could be worse.

Only in certain countries...

A lot of the guys overseas are just getting screwed over...

And I have this to add:

$15? Fuck off Gamestop, I could use an extra $15!

There should be a way for publishers to sell us the games directly, and they cost ten dollars less.

Now, someone with an economics major, please tell me how stupid that idea is!

No. I believe game prices should adapt to the economy of the country they're selling in. I also believe digital distribution, in its current state, is full of crap. Why are games still costing 50 bucks when there's absolutely no packaging costs?
