In essence, my favourite game out there for online play - supreme commander forged alliance expansion, even when patched "up to date", has an enormous number of imbalanced units , exploits and general bugs (that (particularly the imba units) could be easily, easily fixed). Now, as I understand it, Gas powered games has actually developed another patch, and have sent it to THQ for QA testing.... which never gets done, so it sits there, the nirvana that could fix the damn game and its not doing anything.
Now, there are two ways around the broken units, and two schools of thought:
1. ignore the bugs and try to play around them, ban anyone who exploits from joining your games (you'd have to manually kick them each time and there's no way of knowing if they change their name) and finally relying on "honour" to not use the imba units.
2. Be a cock - Use and abuse every damn thing in the game to try and draw attention to the fact the game is essentially broken and get the patch out - If enough people complain, surely someone will listen right?
Do you think I should take the former or latter course of action? And should I encourage others to do the same?
Edit: also, should I draw the line somewhere? E.g. Abusing imbalanced units and climbing the 1v1 ladder pseudo legitimately, or just go the whole way?
