I quit WoW about ten months ago (hopped on about five months ago to play for about a week) and really only consistently kept in touch with one of my old guildies who quit around the same time for the same reason, the game was getting boring. The only reason why I hadn't quit sooner was because I loved our guild so much and had a great time killing things and chatting with these really cool people. Well eventually I decided it wasn't enough to warrant 15 dollars a month and I had more import real life things to do. They understood. Now ten months later I find out that, after leaving, the guild went through a few rough patches and just recently completely fell apart. My old guild is dead. Should I care? I feel slightly upset when my nostalgia juices start to swirl up a bit, but part of me feels like its a silly thing to care about.
Aside from your opinion on my predicament, have any of you ever been faced with a similar dilemma? Does not have to be about an MMO, but keep it video game related I guess.
