Should I get the MW games for PC?

Do you prefer to play the game in vanilla mode? Or do you prefer the game to be modded and changed to better meet your tastes? the choice is pretty much clear either way (360 and PC respectively).

Seriously though OP, Modern Warfare 2 was an insult to PC gamers, I didn't buy it out of principle. However, Cod4:MW was a good solid game, I recommend it.

Get CoD4 on the PC. I'm still not buying MW2 on the PC because as great as the campaign was, I don't think it's worth 60 dollars (I played at a friends. Beat it in 4 hours.)

Ya I like mods. I have fun playing TF2 and counterstrike with mods. Thanks guys I think I'll get CoD4 for my birthday

Modern Warfare: Yes, it's pretty damn good.

Modern Warfare 2: Depends, if you're coming at this from an Xbox live perspective it will be fine. If you're used to playing the Steam, Battlefield, Unreal, Quake or similar PC centric shooters you are going to find it a shock. Not least it's iffy definition of acceptable ping, but it's also vey, very restraining and limited in it's scope. It's slick, just about 10years behind what you would consider the minimum for an online shooter to do (except Special forces, which is good).

The first Modern Warfare is still definitely worth it.

MW 2? No, campaign was way too short for 60 fucking dollars, and the MP is bullshit.

Oh and please disregard the idiotic comments about MW 2 being an "insult" or "disgrace" to PC gaming. Yeah it didn't have dedicated servers, GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

Yes, you should get the MechWarrior games for PC. They are excellent.

...Oh. Modern Warfare. I can't speak for the second game, as I boycotted it. The first one had a fun although short campaign, and tediously frustrating multiplayer. I imagine the sequel is the same.

CODMw2 was a failure on PC. However, COD4 was the best COD ever made. But I tend not to play call of duty games anymore.
