this should have been a poll
360
ps3 might be prettier but the games cost more and seem to appear less frequently

A-freakin-men. The only way it could have been more obvious is if the title of the thread was: FLAMERS! Time to put in a hard day's labor.

Aside the point, Microsoft (thereby the 360) seems to have a decent line going right now, including Valve's nearly undivided attention, in addition to the RROD being mostly fixed. The only visible things going for the PS3 is the Blu-Ray (if you have a TV/sound system capable of making it worth it) and MAG. If you don't know what it is, look it up; it looks wicked. Otherwise, most other games are shared, like Need for Speed: Shift, Fallout 3, Call of Duty, the sports games, the music games, etc.

if i may say id say get the PS3 the Xbox has a habit of breaking and i had one that ended up "eating" my discs, id put them in and they would come out with three scratched in circles, the PS3 is a bit harder to set up with but a very well made and well connected netwrok in games, teh xbox is easier to use but not as amazing

Even though the 360 is pretty unreliable, I've played both it and the PS3, and I think that the 360 is a better bet.
The PS3 does have great hardware, but the graphics difference isn't that considerable, the controller is just sad to hold, and the PSN isn't even half as good as XBL. Plus the 360 has a better line up of games to date, although there are a few PS3 titles worth looking into.
I'm not a fan of either one and I say this as a neutral observer.
Until the PS3 catches up with games and compatibility, the 360 is the better.
Just be sure to get a fresh warranty on the damn thing.

Ehm... PC? :D

No, but if you have a decent game library of 360 games, then go for one. Or wait one or two years until the next console release.

I'd say buy whichever you like more games for, because that's really what it's about.
Both systems have their good and bad aspects, in the end it matters more what you want to play.

look at the list of exclusive games and see if you like one more than the other. i would recomend 360, but it's realy up to you. mind you i've RROD'd 3 already and i'm still recomending it.

PS3 doesn't have as many good games as the 360 (Opinion). But what the PS3 does have is usually really really good (Another Opinion).

Basically quality vs. quantity... sort of

Get both. Each console has its own pros and cons.

I recommend the 360 if you're only going to choose one though.

well between the 360 and the PS3 his choices are, shitty chinese quality american system or shitty chinese quality japanese system. either way its made by the lowest bidder with the most unskilled factory workers in china. so its kinda hard to buy american.

In my opinion, you should go for a 360. The PS3 may be a powerful machine and its games have the potential to have improved graphics and hardware, but there aren't as many PS3 system exclusives that are amazing games in their own right. Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears of War, and Fable I and II are good examples of this. Plus, if you managed to get some 360 games before your system got red-ringed, that's an added bonus. And finally, while the PS3 has an online network just like the 360, Xbox Live is much better all-around than PS3's version of it, annoying squeaky-voiced young Halo 3 fans notwithstanding.
