I wanted to get the Holiday PS3 bundle that comes with inFamous 1&2, and Uncharted 1&2 with a 250GB PS3, but my local store only had it on sale for $200 for 6 hours during Black Friday. They still have the bundle but it's now $270. So is it still worth to get it?

Yes, inFamous 1+2 and Uncharted 2 are some of the best games out for the PS3, I would definately say that was worth getting.

That's still a good buy. If you're interested in those games and perhaps a few others for the console as well, you'd be making a good investment. On the other hand, if you don't like anything on the PS3, then no price is a good deal.

I was going to get that bundle, since I need the larger hard drive (one of the screws holding mine in is stripped beyond salvaging, rendering the hard drive impossible to swap) and I never did try Uncharted.

I would say that it's very worth the price.

- What other games do you want for the PS3

- What other systems do you have?

- How big is your backlog catalog?

$270 is a good price, and I doubt you will find a better deal soon. But I wouldn't, have around 20 games on the PS2, 5 on the WII and around 100 on the PC waiting to be played, so would be a shitty deal for me.

That really is a good deal. I was planning on buying the Assassin's Creed 3 bundle since I wanted that game but then my girlfriend ended up getting it for me so I ended up having to go with the Uncharted 3 bundle. The bundle you're looking at would be a much better buy since the Infamous bundle is $30 and the first two Uncharted bundle is $30. Uncharted 3 only costs $20. So again, you're getting a better deal.

I've seen this one. If you were going to get a PS3, why wouldn't you get one for $200 when 4 games come with it?

Yep do it.

The ps3 has a great amount of games and the classic (Ps1 and Ps2) gives you a chance to play stuff you may have missed.
(I always wanted to play Tombi but buying the disc would cost 150 bucks. Also not gonna emulate)

And the Uncharted series is pretty dam good if you aren't sick of Nolan North.

I already have an Xbox360, I just wanted the PS3 for the console exclusive games, like Uncharted, God Of War, Infamous, Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, and the upcoming new games like The Last of Us. Is it still worth getting it if I just want to use it for console exclusive games?

I think I'm going to get it, so thank you for all your replies to thread, It really warmed my cold heart.

I would say yes. There are quite a few good ps3 exclusives. Demon's Souls being the most prominent example next to Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Killzone. You can get all 3 killzones for 40 bucks which is a steal. Those are really good FPS's. The multiplayer is a bit Meh at first, but gets better.

Also TEKKEN!

Yeah, thats all i got.

Is that the big screw holding it in? Because I'm sure it would be cheaper to get a screw remover, new hard drive, and a screw than a new console :)

Or just take a hacksaw to the screw head, turn it into a flat-head screw instead of a phillips (- instead of +, just incase something gets lost in translation). Had to do that to one of the screws holding my hdd in the caddy since the damn thing was practically welded in place.

Or file down the edges of the screw head and turn it into a bolt, those things aren't flush if memory serves.

On Topic: sounds like a reasonable deal. Those are four very good games if you don't have them yet.

No, it's one of the screws holding the hard drive in the... sleeve? Not the blue screw, that one's fine.

I could possibly just get a new hard drive with a sleeve-thing for my model. But, the super-slim is really nice. I prefer top-loaders, and I think the power consumption is improved.

I would recommend Demon's souls (yes it's hard but I had fun with it), Borderlands 2, Killzone 3, the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection, Resistance Fall of Man, Resistance 3, Twisted Metal, and Playstation all stars battle royal.

I'm a huge fan of the Ratchet and Clank series. You could just stick with the last three games and be happy. There's a lot to do in that universe, but I think it'll be enjoyable to you. In chronological order I would get:

Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction,
then The Quest for Booty (digital download only),
and wrapping it up with A Crack in Time

I would just start with the first and see if you like it, although they have some amazing puzzles in A Crack in Time.

I also really loved Saints Row The Third on PS3. I thought the online co-op was kickass because they integrated player 2 perfectly with the regular campaign.

The Uncharted series is outstanding, but 1&2 were the best of the bunch I thought, especially #2 where some set pieces just made me think they were just showing off. Some of those backgrounds were jaw dropping.

Download-wise I would give Journey a try. I would read up on reviews first though. It's very different, but out of the 20 or so digital games I bought on PSN, Journey's my favorite.

-EDIT- Oh right, a lot of people love God of War. You can get #1 and 2 as HD remakes now, plus #3 is probably a bargain by now. I never could get into it, but everyone else I know loves them. Also, I would stay away from Heavenly Sword. It's a huge button masher and will probably give you carpal tunnel syndrome.

Valkyria Chronicles is phenomenal. Game needs a trophy patch stat! I recommend getting ps+. Such a far greater service than anything the 360 offers. Granted you have to keep a sub going but for 50 US dollars a year it is a hell of a deal. I have well over 300 dollars worth of games to play because of it. Not to mention all of the ridiculous deals you get each week also. There are also a wealth of amazing old school ps2 and ps1 games on the store you can nab up...including pretty much every Final Fantasy game....if you are into that type of game. Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Persona 3.....so many awesome games!

EU gets Arkham City, Vanquish, and Limbo added to the instant game collection in Dec. Curious to see what US is getting. It's always different but an amazing service. WOW is a word to describe getting AC. I'm in the US so we probably will get something different. But still. That's some awesome stuff right there. I'm hoping for some free Mortal Kombat or GTA maybe, or perhaps Deus Ex idk. I just know it will more than likely be a set of AAA titles coming at me! :D
Thinking I might have to cancel my Gold and switch to PS+.

I've heard a lot of good things about Ratchet and Clank series, Journey and God of War. I'm definitely going to give those games a go.
