What this guy said.gibboss28 said:So you played WoW and were also a heroin addict? That must have been terrible.hippykiller said:i personally KNOW that WoW is more addictive than heroin.
well i tried heroin once (it was 48 hours of pure hell). but it was as addictive as WoW.gibboss28 said:So you played WoW and were also a heroin addict? That must have been terrible.hippykiller said:i personally KNOW that WoW is more addictive than heroin.
oops well i must have not been paying attention when i was typing.Travdelosmuertos said:I'm down for anything that lets me meat new people!hippykiller said:i personally KNOW that WoW is more addictive than heroin. but even so it is really fun. you get to meat new people(sort of) and you get to share interests with the geeks and gamers at your school, even if you are not one. so i think you should play mate.
In my experience (and this is MY experience, other people will obviously have a different one but this is mine, so if this applies to you, I hope it helps.) I think that World of Warcraft is an interesting one because I started playing this in high school and I think I would have had a much better time in school if I had not started playing it. Being the typical teenager I was, I found it impossible to manage my time or be motivated to do much. When it came 'round to coursework time I'd turn on my computer with good intentions but end up logging into this for a quick conversation with someone and realise what I'd whittled away 3 hours of my time in a silly instance or something. I can tell you that if I traded all my played time on this for school work or practise on my instruments - I would have done a lot better in life earlier on.ironmace1 said:Like the title says should I start playing wow? So my friend started playing wow a year ago and he has been beging me since the day he got it. So could you guys tell me what you think about it, its high and low points.
Thanks in advance.
The problems only arise if you become addicted, like a friend of mine once was. But if you have a strong mental will play it, maybe first get a friend to install it on your computer and try a private server first to see if you enjoy it.gibboss28 said:Have a go and try it.

the trial for WoW has too many limits to be fun, and the game doesnt really begin to be fun as a result of this.junkmanuk said:Can you explain how the free trial differs from the full game? I did try the trial once out of interest and it didn't hook me...toapat said:thats because its the fucking free trial for WoW, which has no flavor unless you time it for the christmas season. you have to invest $80 up front for WoW, not get a free trial. but before you get WoW, you should first figure out weather you truely want it, then research the class you want to play (not hunters) on WoWhead.com and WoWwiki.com, then get it, make a charicter, and get to lvl 80 ASAP while hitting VC,WC,SM (all wings), ZF, Mara, and a few other dungeons for gear upgradesxxhazyshadowsxx said:One of us... one of us...
Sorry. I've only played for about 3 days (Free Trial) and it wasn't my cup of tea.
Echoing much of the rest of this topic. Don't start playing it if you have important exams coming up or anything like that - when you do try it it'll either hook you or not and if it does you may end up regretting it!
WoW didnt ruin my life, i actually lost weight because i was playing WoW (im not skinny either), and private servers for WoW have sucked since patch 2.3 came out.SL33TBL1ND said:The problems only arise if you become addicted, like a friend of mine once was. It may not be a perfect representation of the game, but its a good way to see if you'll like it. And I quite enjoyed burning fusion thankyou very much.toapat said:WoW didnt ruin my life, i actually lost weight because i was playing WoW (im not skinny either), and private servers for WoW have sucked since patch 2.3 came out.SL33TBL1ND said:The problems only arise if you become addicted, like a friend of mine once was. That is all that you need to ask youself.xmetatr0nx said:Depends, do you have 15 dollars to throw away every month? Are you willing to play at least 6 hours a day? And finally do you care about your social life? If the answers to these are yes, yes, and no then go for it. Its a great game, dont get me wrong, you just pay a price for it in more ways than one.
Luckily, the food bar doesn't require company, and you're likely to find many of the couples to be polyamorous!rokudan said:Still, as games go its not bad. But comming into the game so late its like showing up to a party alone after everyone has already paired off and hooked up.
