Okay, I recently bought The Orange Box for the xbox 360 for 15 dollars. I wanted it on the PC, because I'd be able to have mods, and the updates for TF2 seem really interesting, but it seemed like a good deal at the time, and so I bought it.
Now, The Orange Box is $10 on Steam, and I'm stuck wondering whether I should buy it on Steam, then try to sell the console version. Here are some factors to include.
-I'm an achievement whore. Does The Orange Box for the PC have achievements?
-My computer has small trouble playing Portal, and the internet isn't the best.
If I do get it on Steam, then where should I sell the console version to get my money (and possibly more) back?

If your computer isn't up to scratch, you might as well stick with the console version. The updates will probably come...eventually, but at this point you could only really lose money by trying to sell the 360 version and then getting the PC version, which might not even work.

You won't get more that 15 dollars back for it, they're selling it dirt cheap, and the stores are offering pennies for trade-in. You'll be lucky to get 5 dollars trade-in.

If you sell it on Steam, make sure that you'll be able to sell the Orange Box console version for at least $15, else you'll be making a loss. However, the only place you're likely to get that price is ebay, since places like Game and Gamestation (UK) or Gamestop (US) are notorious for ripping people off when buying back used games.

Its capable of playing all the games on The Orange Box, its just Portal has a small lag time compared to the other games. Its barely noticeable though.

I guess its down to personal taste then, I personally prefer FPS on the PC, I couldn't imagine trying to play my beloved half-life on a console :)

At the end of the day, its your money, if you have enough and you really want to, go for it. But if money is a little tight, you might be better off just sticking with the console version.
Hope this helped.

If your computer can properly run all the games in the Orange Box (minimal specs and all that) I would defninitely recommend it. If not you're better off sticking with the console version.

As for reselling the console version.... I reckon it's alot of trouble for just $15.

Stick with the console version if your rig can't handle some of the games. Eventually, Microsoft will get it together with Valve and start patching up the mistakes made with TF2 on 360. L4D's DLC being free is evidence of this starting to happen. MS hates free content, so Valve probably had to push hard to get the content to be free.

Well, do you REALLY prefer achievements over mods and TF2 updates, plus better graphics and a better control scheme for FPSs?

I'd suggest just buy Orange Box on the PC. It's only 10$.
