Should Mirrors Edge 2 be made?

Should a sequel or maybe even a prequel be made to Mirrors Edge? I think that they should, only if they make it longer and put in a free-roam mode where you could go anywhere in the city. Whats your opinion?

I think a prequel to mirror's edge would be excellent actually. They could focus on fine tuning the platform controls, making the maps a little bit less linear, do a total overhaul on the combat system, and for the love of god focus on the story/voice acting/script this time around. That was really the worst part of mirrors edge for me, the e-surance commercial reject cutscenes.

Mirrors Edge created a new genre but maybe it was too new. All genres are clumsy at first, but mature over time. This is no different.

I loved Mirror's Edge. I never noticed any lousy controls or any other annoyances (PC version). So i will buy it if they make it.

Open world would be nice, so would a free mode that isnt timed.
I enjoyed mirrors edge, and as for story it really could be expounded upon. Maybe a different city too, like London or Paris or something.

Pretty much what I'm thinking, I think that the story the first one had was fairly weak and I wouldn't want to re-explore it, but I liked the gameplay and would like to see more of it.

i think it shouldn't be made. even though i'd like to aee Mirrors' edge with all the shit stuff fixed, and make it more focussed on the free-running, i feel that it's one of those games were a sequal is either cashing in, or made to placate the haters. it just wouldn't work

I personally thought the game was amazing (I speak for the PC version) so I'd gladly get the sequel if it came out. I really want to see them expand on the plot though, like the government and maybe Faith's past and whatnot. Oh, and I would love free-roam too.
