Should Yahtzee Review Minecraft?

Granted, our opinions mean little to him, but do you think he should review minecraft now?

It's grown in immense popularity since last year, and although it's just in Alpha, most people think it's a complete game and well worth your time to play. (1 million accounts, about half of them are paid accounts.)

But since it isn't technically 'done' yet, should he hold off on reviewing it, or should he review it at all?

How can it be techinally 'done' if it's not even in the Beta stages yet? He should wait until it's final release.

I think it's right up Yahtzee's street. It's unique, and very fun. And I'm going out on a limb here and presuming the pictures he uses will be hilarious.

No. It's not finished. You can't review an unfinished game.

Even the Escapist had the decency to call it a "preview".

OT: Actually I'd prefer it if he just left it alone. I don't think it really needs reviewing, to be honest. There's not a lot to explain.

Yikes... I wasn't aware that there was that much minecraft hate on this site...

The only thing is, what if when it's finally released, it isn't nearly as popular as it is now? It would be like if Yahtzee decided to review New Vegas around next november.

Your experience of Minecraft is what you make it. You can play it as a survival horror, or just as a big toolbox to mess around with.

Maybe when it's actually released. Though there isn't that much to review (unless the game evolved drastically before release).

say what you want about Minecraft for a game that's still in Alpha it's damn good.
