Really? I heard the direct opposite, but that was coming from AMD themselves, so I guess thats something they have to say

I have the 1090T in mine so from what I know they should be the same stock coolers. It's fine idle but under load it gets a little loud spinning at 5200 RPM. now don't get me wrong it is a fantastic stock cooler keeping my cpu idle at 29c and about 45c under load.

I agree that it's an amazing stock cooler, but shit, the noise is stupid! You thought a 360 in full swing was loud, it's nothing compared to this!

There's a really simple solution though, just swap the stock cooler for an aftermarket unit with larger and quieter fans. Something from Zalman or Noctua will be perfect. You can run those fans at 100% constantly and never be bothered by them.

Yea I have my eye on the Noctua C12P or the D14. I'm waiting either for a small sale or my hours at work to start picking up. Nothing like newegg price alerts.
