Fellow Escapists: What have you played lately that you really liked? What did you like about it?

I bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent last week, and finished it yesterday. I love the horror genre, but haven't been able to find a new horror game for quite some time. I'm happy to say Amnesia scared me. It blends different kinds of horror - dread, suspense, startles, and "what the hell?" moments - and the lack of combat adds a feeling of helplessness. The puzzles were fun to do, and difficult at times. It's a great game, and I'm happy I played it. Props to Frictional. Thanks for this game!

It's old but; Im really enjoying the Shivering Isles expansion to Oblivion atm it's great fun.

I just played the demo to Enslaved. While I'm pretty pissed at the girl's audacity to force someone into slavery after JUST having attained freedom, the whole ship-crash sequence was really amazing, especially several sections that designed your gameplay to just BARELY escape some timed danger.

Death to Spies 2, it took me back to when I first played Hitman 2, although when I first played Hitman, it was like the hardest game I've ever played, so Death to Spies was like a breeze, I have to try on the hardest difficulty though (which doesn't allow me disguise as the enemy).

I've been playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Still better than the crap that Sonic has become over the years.
