ShowBiz Software Crashing

I got a simple video capture-card to do LPs of video games, and I've set the cable up, connected it to my PC and installed the software (ArcSoft ShowBiz).
Unfortunately, whenever I attempt to use the software, it crashes when I try to select the capture card.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it. or, are there any other programs
i can use for this?

yes, and i uninstalled and reinstalled them both.

Okay, what about Windows Update, is that fully up to date?

i'm not sure. it might not be.

Get Windows as up to date as possible. Update all your drivers for your motherboard, graphics card etc.
