*the wind, only, obviously...*

it's dark, makes no sense and yet...

*BOOP*

You're special too....

*you, a little stuffed animal like yourself deserve some more color...something...*

Like...

A friendly firetruck...

Wee woo, oh no crash sounds a helicopter neown!....

You...

*find a little red nose in your hand...clown...*

But, maybe...

Oh...

Yup, a little one like...

*boop*

It's a little sign, in yours, like.

"Kick me! Harder!"

Oof...

*there is but a single mule out there quietly chewing...*

Ugh, this is so stupid looking...

*I know right?*

*tinker, maybe a wink, who knows, animals or toys certainly talk...*

But...

Maybe...

Nah, too early too rough to be good enough yet...

Hmm...curious...you, alone, wonder to yourself.

Who? Doesn't matter.

Why?

No one's here, with utter certainty, no animals...

Router can't fit rigs big enough through yet, no animals at all, shucks...
Don't take this the wrong way, because I've respected you for a long time and have considered you one of my favourite users of this site, but you seem to need help in some way. I'm not just talking about this gibberish you've been spamming either. Your long rambling rants, like the one in the Venezuela thread where you go off on Thaluikhain for something they posted a day before in a completely different thread, are so out of character that I'm genuinely confused whether you are the same person or if your account was hacked or something. You've either started abusing drugs or are in the midst of some sort of mental crisis, and in either case I strongly urge you to stop posting for now (anywhere on the internet) and find some support. It's genuinely distressing to see you acting this way.

Almost certainly a hack of some sort. I've never see anyone go from articulate to seemingly unhinged so quickly. Maybe a LLM AI in its most nascent form? Either way, I hope the Mister Mumbler we all REALLY know is okay and gets through whatever this is.

I'm sad that Mister Mumbler is going to be banned. It's not his fault his account is an Gen AI spewing dumpster fire. I have roughly 10k words of incoherent nonsense in PMs (@Thaluikhain turns out I'm special too), so if there was still any doubt it's Gen AI, I think that answers it. I would love to know the real reason this happened, or what anybody was hoping to gain by this. His steam account apparently was hacked as well.

There aren't any fun promotions anymore. You used to be able to buy a bottle of pop, check the lid and win a little prize or a free bottle of pop. Or maybe you'd buy a gumball from your video rental store and win a free rental. It was simple.
Now you need to download the app, register, scan the QR code (multiplied a hundred times for every different product) and it's so much effort that it's not worth it.

I can't speak for every area, but there are a few areas in Michigan that still do fun promotional stuff and the scan code is not required. It's still there, but you have other options of bringing it in or participating. I admit that even back in the pre-smartphone era I didn't go to too many promotions for certain products or goods.

I know I don't have an artist's soul, but I genuinely can't comprehend how people write songs. The actual music part obviously is completely beyond me, but making the lyrics making sense and sounding good is even more of a miracle to me. And then they have to write a hundred more songs for the rest of their lives? Crazy.

Ok, so is a step-ladder a small portable hinged ladder with a platform on top...or any ladder that has steps instead of rungs? Because while there is some overlap, those are different definitions, and while I always thought it was the former (and googling has people that agree), recently seen people argue the latter.

Lyrics making sense is entirely optional:

I rest my case.

Man, the lyrics are the EASIEST part. Language (well, English in my limited experience) is fluid enough that there are more than enough ways to express yourself, especially when you start waxing poetic where metaphors and similes allow for even broader lyrical reach. The music part? Yeah, that's difficult. So many ideas have been exhausted throughout the years, it's hard not to be influenced either consciously or unconsciously, and be truly original and not sound like something that's been done before. Even when you accept that you're not "new" and are simply willing to make a rut for yourself in an established "genre," it's hard to stand out in the sameness.

Honestly, the music is a relatively easy part as well. Think about game criticism. How often do you hear people complain about the music? They might hate the visuals, story, and gameplay and still say "the music was good, though." Music seems to be nearly universally praised unless it is ear splittingly awful.

Sometimes I come across something so utterly wrong on the internet that it makes me wish I could travel back in time to respond.
Here is a quote from an analysis on Kvothe from The Kingkiller Chronicles from 2011 on a site that was deleted years ago and since I can't refute it there I need to do it here:
Kvothe always wins. Period.

Elxa Dal kept careful track of the results. In the class of thirty-eight, I was the only one to remain undefeated. (343)
Not just first place, but undefeated. Anything less than a perfect track record would be unworthy of Kvothe. This puts him in the company of Ash from Pokemon. I remember a friend’s dad asking us while we were watching the show as children, “Doesn’t he ever lose? Or win two out of three?”
What are they even talking about? Ash loses all the time! Most of his gym badges were second attempts, and even when he wins it's a close match. He lost to Brock, Surge, Sabrina, Blaine, and Ritchie in the Pokemon League tournament. And these are only the major losses that immediately spring to mind, there's a bunch of minor ones in filler episodes like losing to AJ as well. It's just bizarre to see someone holding the opinion that Ash was too competent in the Pokemon anime!

It's so weird running into Ex-Escapist users on other sites. Like, there's like a hundred million users on Reddit, but occasionally I'll recognize someone that used to post here. Or I'll see someone in the comments on a youtube video. The odds should be so small as to be impossible.
