I was wondering why signatures aren't shown on the forums. Does any one have a clue or is it posted some where that I missed?

They are visible on Warcry. The Escapist chooses not to display them. I find they clutter up the boards like on other forums. If you would like, you may write your own in after your posts.

I heard something about them becoming too long and the thread pages taking too long to load from the content in them, but I'm not entirely sure

Does anyone anywhere really care about whatever pointless signature you may have had prepared for the forums?
No, nobody cares. All they do make it take longer as you scroll through all the one word messages with giant pointless pictures hanging around below them.
