Silent Hill 2 has been re-dubbed for the HD release.

Now Troy Baker (the new James Sunderland) is defending the quality of his work and blaming Guy Cihi (original James Sunderland, who wanted residual pay) and Konami (for not creating new lip animations)

What do you think, should they have created new animations? Should they have paid Guy Cihi?

He's saying it's because Konami contacted him and he said he'd be willing to discuss reusing stuff, but instead of getting back to him, Konami just redid all the voice action.

Unless Troy baker knows all the details, it seems kinda jerkish to me to tell everyone "blame Guy Cihi!" It's Baker claiming it's done because of Cihi and residuals; Cihi is saying it's because of lack of communication.

Baker also contradicts himself. If they considered rehiring Cihi, Cihi would have to lip synch to his own lines, which would result in something very similar to the original. He also says they changed sh2 to freshen it up for the hd rerelease, but then he goes on to say it all cihi's fault.
