i just brought the Director's Cut edition of SH2, but i have a problem that the audio loops and then causes the game to crash. i've tried the patch, and it says it skipped the .exe, does anyone know how to fix?

Check if the patch and your game version are the same release.
Only reason I can think of why it would skip the exe, is because it is the wrong version.
