Well... when I was little, I was really into dinosaurs. I had books, toys, movies, the whole nine yards. You know the old saying about blowing dandelions will make a wish come true? I used to do this and wish for the dinosaurs to come back. Not only is that impossible... but it would also be a bad idea. Yeah... I wasn't the smartest kid out there...

Bleh, my memory of anything pre-18 is so fuzzy that the only thing I kinda remember is that I actually thought that people lived in black and white before I was born.

Crosswalks at intersections; I used to think when you press the button, there was a buzzer that would alert a worker underground who would switch the lights.

I was under the delusion that Santa didn't exist, for a while.
Wait, are you saying that Santa actually is real, and people saying he isn't is the actual deception?

-I used to believe that I was actually a Caucasian person trapped in an African-American person's body...
-I used to believe the phrase "Fuck your shit" was a term of endearment...
-I used to believe that you know when you're sick when the TV starts controlling your body...
-I used to believe I had no genitalia because none of the dolls had any... (That goes double for nipples...)
-I used to believe putting on someone else's clothes would make you become them...
-I used to believe you had to spin around equally otherwise you become a different person...
-I used to believe one of my distant cousins was one of my imaginary friends...
-I used to believe I could become one of the "Sailor Scouts" from Sailor Moon one day...
-I used to believe I would grow up to become Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo... (or rather the OVA showed me my future...)
-I used to believe the KND was a real organization...
-I used to believe I knew Mrs. Claus first-hand...

I did have another childhood belief involving little boys and penises, but... uh... I don't know how to say that one without it sounding "too" weird...

I have a few corkers for you:

I believed Cornwall was Wales and the area where wales actually is was just part of England

I believed the forest I could see from my house was Australia

I believed it was illegal for scots to wear trousers

I believed if you ran too far too fast and ran all out of breath you would drop dead on the spot

-.-

Here's one that's timely. You know that Christmas carol, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"?

I always thought the angel's name was Harold.
Ha, I have a similar one, according to my parents after learning about Islam at school I thought their god was called 'Alan'. Unfortunately I have a terrible recollection of my early years and so I can't remember many silly beliefs myself, except the one where I thought the continents and islands floated in the sea so you would be able to go under them in theory. That and ghosts.

When I was a child I believed I would one day marry my childhood friend; the daughter of my mothers closest lifelong friend.

Now I'm just alone.
