Awhile back I don't know if you heard or not but. John McLame claimed the GTA4 was a sin against god. What a freaking genious. This brings up what I have spoke about before in a different forum. Politicians and the govenment need to keep their noses out of video games. They just don't understand that there entertainment. Nothing more.

Yeah, but when they actually DO anything about it they end up like Jack Thompson. No to mention that their input allows us gamers to see into the minds of non-gamers and realize that while shooting the old lady crossing the street is incredibly fun, it makes us look like we are training to become that kind of person. Givin this is untrue it still lets us know what they are thinking and sparks conversation about it where gamers can actually make imput in society and enlighten the uninformed masses. Also, John McCain lost the election, why does anyone care about him anymore.

The man is entitled to his opinion, although if that is his opinion, I'm doubly glad he didn't win. I find your last statement interesting though. If Barack Obama were to to publicly praise video games tomorrow, would you have the same reaction? After all, he's a politician, and politicians don't understand games, right?
