Alright chaps as the title suggests i would like to you list the most silly and annoying things that you have seen people do on facebook. I would have included Twitter but i refuse to use that since i view it as glorified text messaging.

If you want to go into details feel free. The reason i'm doing besides my own entertainment is perhaps to make a video out of this whilst acting as the SnootyEnglishman.

I'll start off with my own example:
Those who "like" every single one of their status messages and/or comments. What's the point in doing that?

I hate it when people post statuses saying how crappy their life is then when you ask what's wrong they say they don't want to talk about it.

Oh i'm sorry, I thought you wanted help dealing with whatever problems you might be having. Your obviously just an attention seeking harlot.

It's used as bait to make them feel better. Don't buy into nonsense like that next time.

"Im going to say some vauge and cryptic passive agressive comment on somthing that happend that Im not happy about"

like this one

"dont say shit unless you know the full story"

I was tempted to be an ass and comment "thats real deep man"

I haven't seen you in ages Snooty! Good to see you around again. On topic, I think I can convey my thoughts by saying 'It could be nice to be alive.'

I was scrolling down Facebook earlier and saw this:

"Hey everyone, I'm a stuck up ***** that that puts things in Facebook just to see how many likes I can get cause I'm soooooooo "cool" Grow up *****."

It had 16 likes.

Henchman Fauntleroy, says that one of those likes was by the person they were referencing

Say, I remember you too. Nice to see you are not locked in the basement with some others from days gone past.

OT: Those chain mail statuses are a pet peeve of mine. The silliest thing I've ever seen was a bunch of people arguing over tags in one of those Facebook pictures designed for tagging. You know, the ones that have personalities and you assign individual people ones. I ignore them but some people take them seriously enough to end friendships over it. Get some thicker skin guys...

Allow me to post an example of one of my friends...

Stuff like that is just... I'm guilty of it myself at one point when I was younger, but what's the point? I guess it's to make you look all dramatic and that your life isn't really circling the drain.

Also when people constantly post about their boyfriend/girlfriend. Every now and then is fine, but every status is just beyond pathetic.

Trying to get more friends than anyone else.

To experiment I made a facebook account and added a total of 4 people I knew in real life as well as some family members.
I had damn near 200 friend request within a week and they had to tell me about each damn one via email so my inbox got spammed. I deleted my account and the only reason I have one created now is so that I could sign up for the Tribes: Ascend beta.

Speaking of which, I got my key and have the beta working, does anyone know if it's fine for me to delete my facebook account now? I assume they are not actully linked in anyway?

People who post "inspirational" stories or anecdotes about how the poor little religious person is getting beat up by the big mean atheists and defeats with homespun wisdom or using their attackers own logic(incorrectly) to put them in their place. Also overly dramatic people about how life is over.

People who like their own statuses, to me it seems kinda pretentious. You posted it guys, we know you want to say it, you don't have to emphasise that any more.

And chatspeak, after I wrote a report on it in college I can't stand it.

People that set their friends as their wives, people that write 50+ posts at a time, people that like their own posts, and people that add fictional characters as their friends.
