simple question

PC noob here,
i was wondering how i can tell how good my power source is so i dont buy a graphics card too good for my PC.Also, if you can tell me how i can tell if i have a PCI Express-compliant motherboard, i would be greatful.

IT usually says on the side of the power supply what wattage it is. Anything above 500 should be ok for most things I guess.

Regarding pci-express I am not too sure, I think it will have the name of the slot on the motherboard next to it.
