Here's something that a PR guy from DR wrote on system11 to reassure people who had doubts about the game

Hello guys,

I'm from Digital Reality, Grasshopper's development partner on Sine Mora. Unfortunately, I'm not able to reveal much before we release more information about the game. So, some non-secret facts:

1. Every single member of the development team on our side is a hardcore STG fan.
2. Main influences behind the title: setting - Battle Garegga, gameplay - Einhander / R-Type.
3. Not a danmaku, but definitely not a euroshooter.
4. Our primary goal is to develop a game which is accessible to the newcomers and SIMULTANEOUSLY to implement solid gameplay mechanics which justify recording a superplay DVD.

From the sound of things and from the footage we've seen this game has definitely exceeded my expectations. It looks good and what I've seen of the passing and design so far is impressive. Though in the end whether this turns out to be more than a euroshmup is going to come down to a lot of factors including life bar size, the scoring system and the overall format. Here's hoping that it sticks to an arcade style like Gradius V did, I don't want to play some level select stg.
