Single Player

So while MW2 is still in the grip of another wave of game breaking retards, I have decided I need a good single player game, because there's only so much patience in me for some of the people in that game (not the game itself, I love the game), and that burned up a long time ago. So is there any single player games that aren't RPGs you Escapists can recommend?

EDIT: Oh and Portal, now that I read the Half Life post (I also highly recomend, tho 1st on is only on PC in case that is a problem)

Bayonetta is worth a try if you like hack and slash, especially if you enjoyed Devil Maay Cry.

All the Half-Life games, Portal, Bioshock (and possibly Bioshock 2.. haven't played that yet) all the GTA games, Beyond Good and Evil, Psychonauts, Monkey Island games, Broken Sword games, Mafia, Devil May Cry 4.

I'll stop myself before I list the other hundreds of games I own which are not multiplayer.

I'm really not a big fan of multiplayer...

Mirror's Edge for freerunning, Prototype for epic sandboxy destruction, Half-life for innovation and puzzles, Stalker for a great challenge and some realism, Bioshock for tension and horror.
