Apologes if this has been done before. I did search but the title could be anything.

So on Sept 29th 2009 (barring any hiccups) Fable 2 will be re-released on XBL. Oh wow a full retail game coming to XBL big deal right with the On Demand games and all it seems Fable 2 would be high up on that list. Well it is when you find out that you won't need to buy the entire game at once. That's right instead of forking over the 60 bucks (or whatever on demand games will cost) you can buy it in 5 separate installments. Or you can buy it all at once. It will be like the full retail game complete with achievements and DLC but broken up into bite sized pieces. So what are your thoughts on this? Would you every buy a full game in installments vs having it all at once? What do you think is a fair price for each?

I don't think I would ever use this. The exception being if part 1 is free. Then it would be a demo for me to try. Other than that I would go all or nothing. I would rather save up and buy the whole game than buy part 1 and have to wait and save to get the rest. I don't have the patience for that. As for the price I am lost. I think they really need to get away from this flat rate for On Demand games for it to succeed. If I can D/l a game for 30 and buy it used for 5 from a store I will save the 25 bucks and the HDD space thanks.

Seems pretty pointless. But If you don't have the cash or you have left over MS points that why not. Anyway, I don't download games because I like having a physical copy

I'd only get the free portion to see what it's like. Then I'd go out and buy it for cheap in shops, which is what I'm waiting to do as I really can't make my mind up about getting it.

Sounds like a gimmick. Now, if downloadable games leads to shorter, cheaper games, i'm all for it. But splitting a game up like that just seems silly.
