I play both but it's probably a 80-20 split towards single player. I'd play multiplayer more often if I found a few good friends into gaming in the same way I am but for now single player mostly.

I'm mostly a single player guy as well.Probably about 75-25 in favour of SP.CoD and Gears are really the only MP games I play
Mostly single-player. The only multiplayer I do is (a ridiculous amount of) Team Fortress 2 and (a little bit of) Dungeon Defenders.

I play multiplayer mostly, I have very few games that are singleplayer only, off the top of my head I can only think of Skyrim and Fallout 3/NV. I endeavor to complete the singleplayer of any game before actually playing its multiplayer. (if it has any)
i do get annoyed by this as well, they will usually use cheese strategies to either spawn camp or keep us from doing anything from moving out of one room, it gets really annoying (especially if they are cocky and proclaim how good they are)Dryk said:

Pretty much all single player. I play a little from time to time, but the majority seems to fall into the single player category.
It's hard to really say how much, I usually just find an interesting MP game and then binge on it till I'm all burned out and never want to see it again, meanwhile SP games are my constant companion.

Is multiplayer still multiplayer if you play alone against bots, much like an 'instant action' mode?
Probably singleplayer for me. Replaying great singleplayer games is the real meat of my gaming, if arena games with bots doesn't count.

Depends on my mood, and the genre. 4X I tend to play either solo or me and my fiancée vs. CPU, shooters I play multi, racers it's a mix. MMO's I tend to go with PUGs or just go nuts on PvE with her.
I play local multiplayer occasionally, and I play online sometimes, too. However, around 95% of my gaming is done single player. I play games to relax, not to get frustrated at some jerk. I really only like playing multiplayer in games where I can cooperate with people.

Sometimes I'll go for a few months with my only gaming being a nightly regular on a specific server of a specific game. Other times it'll all be on some epic single player game. Still other times, it'll be some mix of the two, probably juggling three or more games at once. Heck, sometimes I'll go for weeks or months with very little gaming at all. Like others have said, for me it depends on the game. For role playing games and adventure titles, I don't even want to be talking to people while playing. But otherwise multiplayer can be quite fun and you get to meet lots of potential friends ^^

Think the main issue for me is the lack of progress. In single player you most often have a story to follow, a main character that evolves during the game, and if it all gets dull you can always wander off and explore a bit. The multiplayer might've changed during the past... eight years though.
