I've only just found out about this game, and it certainly looks interesting.

From what I can fathom, Singularity is a game in which you can control the time of an object by picking it up like the gravity gun does. The two examples in the trailer are a broke staircase that repairs itself and a exploding barrel that turns from a flattened husk into the full thing.

I'm keeping my eye on it, but this is the first information I've got so who knows? Thoughts?

Saw the gameplay trailer earlier and it looks like a really good idea. I'll keep an eye on it, but it's not a guaranteed purchase yet. Fracture was also a really good idea, as was Timeshift.

Looks like it could be the greatest new idea since the gravity and portal guns. Will be watching to see if this turns out to be another techdemo like Crysis.

Seems like an interesting concept, I'm not completely sold on it just yet however, I'll have to see more before I can truly decide.

... I were just about to make a thread of this... why!? Stupid search box... Se? Some people use it ^^.

Still, that is one awesome line, "Don't fear it, use it" "I would tell you more, but now is not the time" Then the game goes back in time to before that storm starts... High on my radar, like the incoming missile that is Empire: total war.

Oh, another FPS where I control time. YAWWWNN. But what? No Bullet Time?

Singularity is an Activision title and an original IP (yes, Activision working an original IP) developed by Raven. Raven even admits in the magazine it's giddy just to get an original IP in development- and likens it to hitting the lottery when it comes to working with Activision.

Singularity hinges on the idea that in the 1950's, cold war russian scientists devleoped a way to manipulate time using a device and the material Eisenteinium (a real life element thats pretty uninteresting). It's a bit like SystemShock with all the RPG and most of the Horror stripped out (no "Oh so it's BioShock?" cracks) in that you get special powers, guns, and will use these to fight Russian Soldiers (okay maybe not so much) and strange monsters from between time, as well as witness the constantly repeated last moments of the ghosts of the Scientists who worked on the island where the game is set. Not alot of info floating around and GI's spread on it is several pages long and too long for me to summarize, but the basic gist is Modern Day Russia and USA are hunting for this device, your a US soldier who gets it, aging enemies into dust or de-aging them into squealing fetus's (seriously) ensues.

It's a time manipulation game with no bullet time. Instead, it's combat, and puzzle solving, hinges on moving specific objects foreward or backward in time (which gives you the power to gravity gun things for some reason, who knows).

And you can turn your enemies into FETUS'!
