I'm not talking about cutting things out, I'm talking about planning ahead of time. It's their job to know the limitations of the systems they develop games for.
As an example, if they simply "developed it", like you said, but in a way that didn't meet another hardware limit of it's intended platform, say, CPU power, they would be considered incompetent. What I ment was that the current case and the above example appear quite similar to me. And by "quite similar" I mean "completely identical".
So: a) they really are incompetent; or b) they're lying.

That makes NO logical sense, UNLESS, they are referring to 360s with no hard drive. Content would ONLY need to be limited in size because of storage, so to say it is a hardware issue is silly. It has to be a storage issue.

this is RIDICULOUS! why not cut 100 mb of who the hell cares so 360 gamers can enjoy it too

Wow, I was just thinking about how awesome this game was and how it sucked that it wasn't backwards compatible. Couldn't they just release it on games on demand and put it's trial in demos? Or release it in two parts though? Or Cut out the .1gb of content that's causing the problem and then release it as free dlc? The problem sounds easily solvable...

haha, makes no difference to me what platform i play it on, wish there was a disc release though...
