Streetlight Manifesto is the way to go. If you wanna listen to Catch 22, you should really only listen to "Keasbey Nights" cause that's the only good album they made before Tomas Kalnocky left the band to form Streetlight.
The Toasters and The Specials are really good old school ska (The Specials are technically Two-Tone) and both helped to shape modern ska.

Anyone down under heard of Area 7? I found them years ago, but never found more than one or two songs. Who doesn't love an Aussie Ska band though?
