Streetlight Manifesto is the way to go. If you wanna listen to Catch 22, you should really only listen to "Keasbey Nights" cause that's the only good album they made before Tomas Kalnocky left the band to form Streetlight.

The Toasters and The Specials are really good old school ska (The Specials are technically Two-Tone) and both helped to shape modern ska.

Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto/Catch 22, Subuerban legends and Random Hand. Random Hand are pretty heavy too. Oh yeah, Madness and The Specials.

Hang on, just checking my media library...

O.K. granted. Their Irish rock. In my defense though, the rest of them are.

Still good though.

True, whatever works really, they're both known well (amongst the people who listen ska anyway). I said Shining on mostly because it's the first song I heard by them and it's also the newest of the two.

Hasn't anyone mentioned The Aquabats yet? Fashion Zombies is a great song with an awesome video.

A few other good ones,
Ska-P (spanish ska band),
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra are good too (not really the same sort of ska as others that have more of a punk influence to them)

Suburban Legends rule. They've had a lot of tragedy and have gone through some style changes, but they're still rockin'. I just hope they head back towards where they were with Rumpshaker.

Anyone down under heard of Area 7? I found them years ago, but never found more than one or two songs. Who doesn't love an Aussie Ska band though?

Annie's 12 years old, in two more she'll be a whore
Nobody ever told her it's the wrong way

Don't be afraid with the quickness you'll get laid
For your family get paid
It's the wrong way

I gave her all that I had to give
I'm gonna make it hard to live
(Big) salty tears running down to her chin
And it ruins up her make-up
I never wanted

A cigarette pressed between her lips
But I'm staring at her tits
It's the wrong way

Strong if I can, but I am only a man
So I take her to the can
It's the wrong way

The only family that she's ever had
Is her seven horny brothers and a drunk-ass dad
He needed money so he put her on the street
Everything was going fine until the day she met me
Happy are you sad, wanna shoot your dad
I'll do anything I can
It's the wrong way

We talk all night, try to make it right
Believe me shit was tight
It was the wrong way

So run away if you wanna stay
Cause I ain't here to make ya, oh no
It's up to you what you really wanna do
Spend some time in America
Dub style!

She'll give you all that she got to give
But I'm gonna make it hard to live
Big salty tears rollin' down to her chin
And it smears up her make-up
I never wanted

So we ran away
And I'm sorry when I say, that straight to this very day
It was the wrong way

She took a hike it don't matter if I like it or not
Because she only wants the wrong way

I gave her all that I had to give
But she still wouldn't take it, oh no
Her two brown eyes are leaking like a sieve
But it still ruins her make-up
I never wanted
