I've just beat Skate 2, and was thinking of getting Skate 3. Is it really worth getting and does it improve much on 2 or is it more of just a remake? (I do have the first Skate but dislike it due to staying on the board and the crap camera angle. SkateIt is pretty fun too, though)

Haiii.

Okay, ive never played any of the skate games, but i count myself as a modern game guru since i read a LOT of reviews and stuff xD. but noones posted anything yet so i think i should just share some stuff ive picked up.

The jump between Skate 1 and Skate 2 is far more significant than 2 to 3; 3 does have a few improvements such as graphics and various gameplay things. However, its mostly regarded as a sort of Skate 2.5, and your better off either waiting for it to come down in price, or missing out on it totally. If your a HUGE fan of the Skate series, or staking games in general, you should pick it up but dont expect much.

In short, wait a while and get it when its cheap, if you can.

If you've never had experience with the game, how can anyone trust you?

OT: I would rent it first to see if you like it. It's not as good as Skate 2 in my opinion, but then again, I'm a fan of the old Tony Hawk style games, so take it as you will.

I heard it sucked, but from my brief time with the demo, I enjoyed the improved "Hall of Meat" system.

It's no longer fact that all skaters have titanium bones in Skate 3.

I'm unsure, so I'd just say to give it a rent.

I did try the demo of 3 and it didn't seem much different then two... I loved the Tony Hawk games (haven't played Ride though), and just recently started playing the Skate games. I probably will wait for it to come down in price. The way I see it, it might not be as good as the second, but it can't possibly be as bad as Tony Hawk's Underground 2 was compared to the rest of them...
