Sketch Comedy.

We've all seen it, I think we all like a least a little bit of it, and I think we all have a favorite one. There's been so many, it causes

.
So I ask of you these questions two, my darling escapistians.
1. what is your favorite Sketch comedy show?
2. What's your opinion of sketch comedy in general?

I encourage you to post videos from said shows onto this site, so maybe one of us could get a laugh, and discover untold amounnts of lolz


My favorite Sketch Comedy show is Mr. Show, it is just the pinnacle of awesome in my humble opinion. In their 4 seasons there were less than 5 sketches I didn't love, and almost all of the comedic talent from of our time (in L.A at the time) can be found on that show. And the shame is it's been forgotten for the most part.

I thought the cowbell skit was from SNL?

In any case, I don't much like sketch comedy much. It just never seems to be funny.
Could be because I only ever saw MadTV.

Yeah Mad T.V is pretty awful, (I'm Sorry S.R.S!) it's the worst I've ever seen.(you're entitled to your opinion S.R.S!) if this thread picks up most that will be mentioned are pretty good.

On the whole, I quite like sketch comedy if it's done well, but very, very few people do it well IMO. I loathe Little Britain and Catherine Tate (repeating the same thing over, and over, and over, that's just not my idea of comedy).
