1) Yes, but I have to first position my hands in the right place on the keyboard while looking. I learnt while playing games such as Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds so that I could type cheats in quickly.
2) When I use a thumb, I use my left. I often press the space bar with my right middle finger.
3) According to a free speed test 36wpm.
4) Querty.
5) Yes.
What's QUERTY?
It's pronounced Dyslexia :)

2) Left thumb for space-bar, right for R-Enter (L-Enter doesn't work.)
3) Strongly depends.
4) Not really.
5) Yes, but I only ever use Ctl+Z.

This whole post right now is being typed without me looking down once, at the keyboard or the monitor in fact... I like to type with perfect grammar and punctuation, so it proves rather difficult from time to time. I never really taught myself to type like this, it just happened naturally over time. I was taught to type with my hands and fingers on the specific keys, but I do not follow those rules. My fingers are all over the place while I type, and I can still pull off a really respectable amount of words per minute, although I have never actually officially recorded, nor can I give you a rough number. All I know is that it's respectably fast.
I'm sure there are very little mistakes, but some do slide by from time to time...
How was that?

I just found a usefull little typing test [http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php] and took it.
My results were 81 words per minute with 3 mistakes.
I think that's pretty good, considering the text is from the Illiad...

1. Yes, self-taught, a couple years back I guess.
2. Left.
3. Maybe 90 WPM. Most of what I do is editing rather than actual typing.
4. Microsoft comfortcurve 2000.
5. I rarely use the mouse.

1. I can't touch-type, but I can type without looking at the keyboard, yes they are two different things.
2. I don't use my thumbs for typing, I hit the space bar with my right index finger.
3. I think I was close to 100 words a minute. Make that 60 words per minute.
4. I don't like using keyboards that have a split down the middle.
5. I use keyboard shortcuts simply because with MS Office the GUI changes every couple of years but the keyboard commands always stay the same, I have no idea where the undo/redo buttons are in MS 2007 but I know how to ctrl+z/ctrl+y.

1. Yes, self taught touch-typist. Also stemming from hobby writing.

2. I alternate between the two, both thumbs sit on space, and I use whatever feels natural at the time, usually right though.

3. Around 80-90 words per minute.

4. I'm very comfortable using my laptop keyboard, but I can learn other keyboards quickly.

5. Yes, constantly.

1. Once I've found the first key with my eyes I'm usually pretty much fine, but not taught any proper way of typing.
2. Either, depends where my hands are at the time, but I think mostly left from gaming habits, and my right index finger also occasionally pops in if from a low right letter such as "m".
3. Faster than most of my friends when also being accurate, but get slowed down by corrections, actual WPM not tested
4. Desktop UK qwerty (standard in UK)
5. Depends on whether my right hand is on the mouse or not, or if my left can reach both keys at the same time.
