I wouldn't raise the cap that large, but I guess so. Considering we already have 4 members, I was thinking maybe 8 or 7, but that's cool. (I'm moving this weekend, so I may not be able to post if you start this weekend, is that okay?)

Like I said, I'm thinking about it. I may or may not actually do it, depends on what plot I come up with.

I wouldn't worry too much about group sizes. I was once in an RP that started with fifteen players. That was a blessing though, because I want to say about half dropped it after a relatively short while.

Also, a description of what's going to be happening and an idea as to the structure would probably help round up a few more people.

Excellent point deathbydeath, though as to avoid losing people that already signed up I think we should all come to an agreement before I post an official outline of whats to come.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If three people signed up with character sheets when all that is said about an RP is "Skyrim", I doubt those people would willingly leave.

Very well, let me show you all what I have in mind. feel free to ask questions or recommend something to make it better...

Im thinking the starting point can take place at any major hold. Places in skyrim where you could find many different races, the places that come to mind are Markarth or windhelm. The story will start off with all players in the Inn of a said city. I'm thinking at first every one is there looking for work and what not, when a opportunity presents itself.

A rather sketchy man enters the inn and casually takes a seat near its end. The man claims to be a humble honest treasure hunter. He offers any one coin to retrieve a relic of great importance. The relic, as he claims, is something of great historical value. At first the group (the players) is unsure of the man...but couldn't pass up on the coin. From there the players are allowed to explore Skyrim in search of clues to the relics whereabouts. They are allowed to team up with any other player or can search alone, Though I would encourage dialogue between all characters at least sometime.

Perhaps the Thalmor is involved, and if you know ANYTHING about Skyrim, then you know how they are ;).

Maybe the man who sends us on our quests is a member of some order that is on the Thalmor's big time hit list. Psijic maybe?

Or just an anti-Thalmor fellow, presumably with wealth and influence. A fellow from Markarth, perhaps?

EDIT: Also, while I like the idea you came up with, could you shed a tad more light on the relic? I'd really like to reinsert Umbra in here, the thing would need to be either Dwarven or soul gem related.

Well, I was thinking the relic is in truth actually something with great magical power. If anyone completed the Winterhold quests then you probably know about The eye of Magnus I think its a good comparison as far as property wise. But yes, I like your suggestion, the relic is of Dwarven origins. Whoever's hand it falls in will bring him imence power, that is why the Thalmor have an interest in it.

and it would be better if The Thalmor bullock us for being there and it somehow means we're praying to Talos who they refuse to accept him as a god because he was a human or something

I was also thinking, for the sake of story and plot development and further tension or friendship between players, I would like to add something to the character sheet.

Political outlook: Imperial/stormcloak/neutral

I thought this would be a critical element to a character as it can determine the dialogue between certain players.
By saying you have a Imperial outlook you are saying you support the empire and its claim to skyrim. By saying you have a Stormcloak outlook you are saying you support Ulfric and a independent Skyrim. By saying neutral, you don't care either way. This is just a thought, but I just thought it would be an important characteristic
