I used to be a modder like you, then I took an arrow to the knee...
Or more precisely, then 3 hours of scripting went to nought due to blue screen.

Further, the Kit will hook into Valve's Steam Workshop which will allow modders to share and rate other people's mods much easier than collating them from various mod websites.
Why do you have to kill your fansites :(
I doubt that this Stam integration will kill Nexus. It's too well-established and has too big of a loyal community to die just because Steam will host mods for Skyrim. For all we know, the Steam-hosted mods might be limited to a certain size, screened for content (not necessarily obscene or inappropriate content, it could also be screened for copyrighted content or just things that the censors don't like), and lack the update and feedback mechanisms that Nexus has.

If any of that happens, you can be sure that Nexus will still host mods. It's just a much more convinient place for them. Heck, even if none of that happens, Nexus should still be up and running.

Now, this whole Steam-mod connection sounds cool, and I might even browse what's available there when it's active, but I think that I'll stick with Nexus.

OP: Good to see that the CK's on the way. Also good to see that Bethesda is working on new patches, even though, like it's been said, they could be a tad overzealous in their patching.

Glitches and bugs are inevitable. It's downright stupid to expect it to be perfect, though I do wonder how on earth QA missed the backwards dragon. Maybe they were just testing the specific features they tweaked. Patching a game is pretty much Chaos Theory in a nutshell. One small change to fix something and then, a long way down the line, bam, backwards dragon.

Can't wait to A) buy the game B) try out the Creation Kit. sounds like fun!

Call me Bethesda when you're ready to:

1. Fix the lag on PS3
2. Prevent the game from locking up after 5 minutes of play

I don't mind glitches and bugs, it's inevitable that they'll exist. But when Skyrim becomes impossible to play or affects my overall enjoyment of the game, that's when I stop playing.

honestly, this is a big step towards companies making platforms and modders making the actual game. There's a long way to go, but you can see it coming. And that will end all problems with companies taking on too much and delivering too little as a result. I for one welcome the modding future.
Well when you put it that way, I guess I am in favour of it too, but that would begin and end with creation kits, as opposed to companies making stand alone games, a game based entirely around gameplay, with an extra kit you could use to alter it to your personal playing style and what you would and would not want in a game, that would be something I'd be interested in.

I don't understand what bugs people are complaining about... I've only experienced very minor glitches (playing on PC).
