The thing is this is ALL stuff that could be made by community modders. I would much rather they concentrated on a proper expansion pack, like ES of old.

No c-c-c-CROSSBOWS?
I hope they do get spears, a friend of mine would be very pleased! And I just love it when his wee face lights up. =3
I want a chaurus mount. That would be ace.

Don't enchanted bows already do the "ice and fire arrow" thing?

Also, I would love to adopt a child.

I would adopt that Aventus kid. I like him. Takes initiative when he wants people dead. Doesn't pussy out the moment he see's a tiger man/werewolf assassin.

Nnnnnggggggg.

The Escapist's article is much clearer. This was just a random challenge the Bethesda staff had. Maybe they'll use some of this, but none of that would make a piece of DLC on its own, I bet you my left nut. Especially as Todd howard explicitly said we wouldn't get dragon mounts.

Personally, I thought the seasonal foliage was pretty cool, the water shader too. Shame environment mods rape my laptop, as I found modding out Oblivion.

I take back what I said about modders doing the giant mudcrab thing already.

The one Bethesda came up with is probably one of the scariest things I've seen. It looks like it would wreck your shit.

How about a crossbow? So you don't have to hold down the button to keep the bow strung while you walk around. Maybe it has lower range or something so it's more useful for dungeons.

spears? I would LOVE spears to be put in but, I'd hope they'd arrive alongside voulges, halberds, crossbows, javelins... I guess I just want more variety in the range of murderising implements available to me. also, mounted combat would be just awesome. let's just hope some of the stuff does get implemented.

All of those things that are listed sound like something some random group of modders could create in less than a week. I can't imagine them being released on consoles in separate DLCs for a price or else it will be Horse Armour all over again.

I also fail to see how some of those are "experiments" if they've already been featured/created (by modders) before.
OP has it wrong. What they all are is a challenge of sorts set by Bethesda to it's employees to make something for Skyrim in a week. None of them are ideas for DLC, some might make it to DLC but none of them are ideas for standalone DLC. They hold a meeting after the week is up and share their ideas, it's not a formal DLC meeting though.

OT: See above. They've already said that the major DLC is going to be like an expansion pack, when they come up with DLC it'll be far more substantial than little mods like these.

At least 1/4 of those are already available as free mods. And that was before the creation kit became available.
Now, now you may as well not bother.

I'm aware which is why I never said "These features will be implemented as DLC", you'll noticed I said they're playing around with the ideas or as they call them experiments.

If you listen to the video (which was not in my original source, but is there now courtesy of chicago ted) specifically 0:50 to about 1:10, you'll see that he says that they the release of the material is to be determined and they don't know whether they'll include it in future DLCs or pathches. Also I never said they'd be standalone DLCs. Not sure where everyone is getting that idea when there is a section right under the list saying that I don't think these will be DLCs in an of themselves.

I'll be happy with Skyrim when it gets a combat system like Mount & Blade. Until then, no. I'm not happy.

The only reason I play Oblivion is because there are mods that make it more like M&B.

"Skyrim DLC ideas announced" throws the idea that you're explicitly saying they're going to be DLC. You can speculate that they won't be stand alone DLC, but that's speculation. I wasn't insulting you in saying you were wrong. I've seen the video, that's where all my info came from. They say they might make it into some DLC, not that they were ideas for DLC.

I would like the werebear. Mostly so I can yell out WEREBEAR, it's fun to say. Also I feel like the kinect will backfire when you swear, they'll probably have the game yell at you or something fun like that. I hope that if these come out, they'll be added to Xbox live or something, I have the space on my hard drive I can do this. And if they do werebears, they have to do the other wereanimals, like weresharks, and wereboars, and werealligators. The amount of insanity would be awesome.

On the contrary, if I was saying that the DLC has been confirmed, I would have omitted the use of "ideas", and written the title as "Skyrim DLC Announced". Ideas are by definition a rough thought or suggestion on a possible course of action, which fits the title perfectly well.
