I just want to say that I called it. I called it SO. DAMN. HARD.
I'm sure I'm not the first one. But I called it dammit. I want my calling rights. Give them too me.

In all seriousness anyone think that C9, your waistline and your diet (and MAYBE your social life, but most of the people you know will probably be playing it too) now has something to fear, hell maybe even LoL and WoW have something to be scared of too.....

Your move Blizzard/Riot.

It's just a matter of time until people realize these games are garbage. It happened to point and click games and platformers when they got bad, same thing with MMOs.

Maybe in 10 years I'll care about another one.

Why? It will just be another piece of crap like every other MMO ever made. They are all the same, just change some names and the paint job.
The entire announcement, if true, would depress me.

Must not have seen Guild wars 2 then.

On another note Todd Howard already said they(Bethesda) aren't planing any sort of multiplayer game. If there is a MMO is gonna be made by Zenimax and another one of their side companies.

There's certainly potential... but really, that's like looking at any game and saying, "Yep, that's a game." Potential is easy to attain, but realizing that potential is a different matter entirely.

Honestly, I think taking the Elder Scrolls universe and making it an mmo would require some possibly excessive instancing, a lot like how Guild Wars approached things; have basic town hubs, with an instanced overworld or at least instanced dungeons/ruins/caves.

But even then, I find it hard to see it actually working, as far as the game feeling like Elder Scrolls... would we all start as a prisoner, as tradition would dictate? How would factions work? Stealth? What would the story be? Would we all be dragonborn/ nerevarine-type heroes, or would we go against the grain and just all be commoners trying to make it big..?

From my end it's difficult to see this playing out favorably for either us or Bethesda. :p But again, there's potential- maybe they've figured out all that and will blow us away...

Personally, I'm not going to believe it until I see an announcement trailer, unless it's a small browser-based thing or something. I'm not basing this on logic or anything, in case you were wondering. There's just a little voice in the back of my head going "Nope...wrong...ain't gonna happen". And I listen to the voices in my head. If they're right when they say that I'm hungry, then they're probably right about this.

Unfortunately any MMO endeavor wouldn't be developed in-house by Bethesda, it'd be developed by Zenimax Online. It was created (2007) when Interplay was showing signs of being unable to deliver on the Fallout MMO.

That is actually one of the few MMOs I have my eye on. However I've been disappointed many times before.

I dont care really unless it flops completely because I love bethesda but i expect they'll announce it, some people will get excited, some people will get pissy, they'll release it, they'll get a huge surge of player for like 4 months or so and then it'll die down and get forgotten about and people will probably go back to wow, its what usually happens to most mmo's.

I'd still prefer they spent their time and cash on something else though but if they have to make it I hope they pay someone else to do it for them..hey what happend to the fallout mmo?
