So, Skyrim comes out Thursday. It's been a long time coming, but it's almost here. That said, the last few days before a major release are always the hardest. How are you going to handle the wait? I've got it pretty good between work, TF2, and two table top games over the next few days so I don't think I'll be too hard pressed. How about you? How will you handle the anticipation/distract yourself? Or are you just going to drive yourself mad staring at the clock?

Struggling to breath under the weight of six classes with thirty-hour assignments due in a week in anticipation of MORE assignments followed by MORE assignments followed by two or three weeks of finals and trauma with only a vague hope that you will be able to get it for Christmas tempers the anxiety a bit.

Exam revision... I need to re-learn the entire biology course in a day! Then after chem on Wednesday I'll have MW3 and my girlfriends birthday to tie me over until Friday.

I realize that it is just another game and that cumming all over it before I've even played it is nonsensical and pointless.
Sonic Generations helps, too.

Ahead of a big release, I start to refrain from any game I suddenly want to revisit. I save them up for the last 5-6 days. Now I'm reaping the benefits of having done that before Skyrim.

After three solid days, I'm about finished with both the Xbox titles: Kingdom Under Fire The Crusaders and Kingdom Under Fire Heroes. Now I'm moving on to The Witcher 2, which I only beat once on release. Then I'll play some Sacrifice, Mechcommander Gold and finish up on Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. BG2 and ToB if we're still not there.

Going to my university graduation and celebrating with some of the best people I've had the pleasure of meeting.

After all that real-world socialising I'll not feel guilty about locking myself away for a week or two, getting to grips with Skyrim.

I'm actually pretty busy these next few days, so I'll have plenty of distractions until Skyrim comes out. The few moments that I'll be unnocupied I will probably spend, just like you, playing TF2. Also, I've found a pretty good distraction from waiting for Skyrim is reminiscing about the things in it I'm not looking forward to (Over-simplified, in my opinion, leveling system, the whole "Armour is one piece" thing). That tends to convince me I don't want to play it for a few nanoseconds, even though that is a blatant lie and I've been impatiently waiting for Skyrim ever since that first trailer.

I've just got Uni to distract me which should do with the sheer amount of work I have to do. Then I'm out on Friday night which means I don't get to play Skyrim till Saturday.

Barely been on my 360 lately as Skyrim's the only game I want to play right now.
